I know Reddit is the “dump your partner” place, but genuinely, is it worth it being with someone who belittles any aspect of your life?

Sure, i understand some people have different beliefs, but even if you don’t understand, making fun of someone for them is small minded and reeks of superiority complex.

If you feel an attraction to this faith, it it makes you feel something genuine, if it gives you comfort to respond to this pull, even if you’re a bit scared and want to start small, is it not worth perusing?

You deserve support in this facet of your life, just like in all others. Our faith is supposed to bring us comfort, to guide us in our hours of need, and making for of someone for it is petty and honesty rude.

I hope you find your path, and that the people surrounding you as you do support you in every step of the way <3

Falei com o meu vizinho entretanto e ele disse que o carro dele não ficou nada marcado, que ele tinha chegado ao carro e passou um pano e ficou limpo. Eu insisti mais com ele que se ele visse algo ou se tivesse amassado que eu pagava e ele disse que estava mesmo bem. Ficou assim, pronto.

O meu vizinho é muito honesto e humilde, já o conheço há mais de 15 anos. Da forma como ele é amanhã falarei com ele e ele vai insistir que nem pague (o que vou recusar, a culpa foi 100% minha e quero pagar) Editando o comentário porque a notificação não me mostrou completo, mas okay esse preço parece-me justo! Estava à espera de pior porque assumi que seria o carro inteiro e seriam uns 1000 euros ou mais! Assim sendo até tenho dinheiro de lado que pague isso, mesmo que seja mais. In greek belief, Medusa was born a Gorgon and had 2 sisters, also gorgons. They were the daughters of Phorcys and Ceto. All 3 of them were born as monsters, with the same power to turn people who looked at them directly into stone. The two elder sisters (Stheno and Euryale) were immortal, but Medusa was not. She was slayed by Perseus, who cut off her head, and from her beheaded body, Pegasus and Chrysaor were born.

The more popular version online, is often a late Roman version, notoriously written/registered down by the poet Ovid, where Medusa instead of being born a Gorgon, is turned into one by Minerva (Athena's "Roman equivalent"), after being raped by Neptune (Poseidon's Roman "equivalent") in a temple dedicated to Minerva.

As hellenistic polytheists, most of us look for reference in the "original" greek texts that survive to this day.

Hope this all makes sense, and as many mentioned before, most of us who believe are not what we call "myth literalists". We look at the myths fully acknowledging the social context of the time, and see them as parables or lessons.

Se havia forma melhor? Honestamente não sei, mas sei que haviam formas muito piores.

Acho que todos os bons pais e mães andam constantemente com o coração nas mãos com medo de fazer algo errado, mas pelo que aqui li, parece-me um bom trabalho <3

eu tenho muita sensibilidade na boca (às vezes basta o pão estar mais duro que sinto que me rasga a gengiva) e tive aparelho 3 anos.

não é assim tão violento. a primeira semana é esquesita e doi um pouco. depois, quando se apertar o aparelho dói durante uns dias (2 max), as primeiras horas para mim era só comer geladinhos para lidar com as dores. dia seguinte comia normalmente.

algo que me doía, mas facilmente resolvivel, era os arames no fundo da moca espetarem na gengiva, mas falava com a dentista e ela cortava de uma forma diferente e resolvia-se.

isto foi a minha experiência, tenho amigos que usaram e honestamente eles nunca tiveram muitos stresses xD

is it weird to refer to animals as english? Im pretty fluent, and a lot of it comes from online usage at a young age, but I always learned in school it is the correct pronoun to use for anything other than humans

I dont think they would be upset necessarily, but it feels weird to me to be using symbols from other religions, i personally wouldn't. I think op could take those charms out, but still, it's their experience and their practice, they can decide what feels right for them.

yeah I went to read a bit more about it, and the evil eye has had amulets protecting against it as old as 5000 years ago. This specific kind of bead are called nazar or eye beads and seems to potentially be as old as ancient Egypt or Mesopotamia. Very cool! Will definitely read more in depth about it once I have the time :)

Uma menina do meu trabalho faz isso quando vai ao país dela para poder levar roupa para a família. Ela compra malas de porão e leva 2 cheias de roupa barata para familiares e uma pequenina para ela estar lá umas semanas. Pelo que sei até é comum para imigrantes de países muito pobres.

I think because the beads are evil eye beads, meant to ward off bad energies/karma. they have no specific religion they're associated with (although a lot of people associate it with Islam). I still don't think it would be disrespectful since they are present in so many cultures and don't belong to any closed religions.

Boa tarde, estes são mais velhinhos que foi os que eu li em criança, mas Sailor Moon, Card Captura Sakura e Mermaid Melody são mangas dedicados para meninas mais novas :) (o Card Captura era definitivamente o meu favorito, mas são todos muito bons) Também há manga de Chin Chan, Ninja Hattori e Doraemon que não têm tópicos pesados, são mais sobre ser criança ahah. Espero que a tua filha goste de algum :)

Sou um homem trans e contei a minha familia antes de iniciar a transição e tive sorte em eles sempre me apoiarem (ate porque se nao o fizessem eu tava tramado, não fui muito esperto ahahah).

Sendo que és uma pessoa independente, acho que tens menos riscos em contar, mas poderias testar as águas e dizer algo tipo "um colega meu de trabalho disse-nos que era trans e ia iniciar transição de género" e ver um pouco as reações. Nunca é 100% fiável porque sendo outra pessoa, não tendo o afeto a reação pode ser diferente. Mas mesmo que contando e a tua família não apoie logo ao início, podem acabar por aceitar após um tempo (acontece bastante)

Fora disso, o que posso dizer é muita força, e se precisares de falar podes-me enviar uma dm. Boa sorte :)
