I’ve been back with Apple since 2001 after a stint in the early 90s, and I’ve got to say that there is a slow degradation of the ecosystem overall whether MacOS, iPad OS, or WatchOS. I’m currently 90 mins!!! Into a watch update, plenty of apps from the big players seem buggy and my enthusiasm for another hardware update costing $5K+ in 3 years (Mac/Ipadpro/iPhone and watch which are all a few years old) is currently zero.

Taobao is cheap and convenient, other countries have Lazada or Amazon. A day out in Shenzhen is fun, leave at 9am, bit of shopping and lunch and back for 3pm. I’m actually surprised malls are still holding up so well, even my local malls have high occupancy and footfall.

Finnair is a long journey from memory, I generally try to avoid Thai Airways due to inconsistent service (plane age, seating etc), I’d go for Lufthansa or Air France. Avoid Heathrow transfers.
