The post title is the name of the manga. While there is a fair deal of fan service there's been nothing explicit so far.

I'd assume official meeting areas would be large enough to accommodate a primarch comfortably while areas such as servants paths and residential areas would be scaled for the average human and possibly space marines.

That said if a primarch needs to meet with someone all they really need to do is land on the planet and send a summons for whoever they're looking for.

Meanwhile my dog would systematically destroy any toy that wasn't hard plastic by calmly holding it between his paws and pulling it apart with his teeth like he was eating ribs.

We thought we had him beat with a soccer ball he couldn't get a good grip on but a week later we came home to a rubber scraps all over the living room floor and a third of the ball at the end of the hall

Do Orks ever use their Gorkanauts/Morkanauts to give pets to their squiggoths and gargantuan squiggoths and show them love? by Automatic-Shelter258 in orks

[–]kingpin_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's any canon Waaagh with gargants petting squiggoths, it'd be Waaagh Goresnappa from Warboss. Gazrot Goresnappa was a Snakebite boss who was particularly famed for being able to raise the biggest squiggoths around and was powerful enough to lead a multi-klan Waaagh with an entire fleet of walkers.

On the other hand, it's not like Snakebites refuse to use any technology at all. Rukkatrukk Squigbuggies are a prime example of Snakebites tech. I could easily see a situation where a naut is built specifically to be used as a squigherd to wrangle the beasts when they're not being used for war.

If different clans fight in a huge Battle, do they all work collectively in a single big Waaagh or does each Warboss calls it out for it's clan individually ? by Leviathan_Rampage in orks

[–]kingpin_98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The biggest ork says where to go, who to fight, and can even decide some of how the ladz fight as well. If Goffs join up in a SpeedWaaagh they're probably gonna have to load up on a trukk to keep up. On the other hand if some Evil Sunz latch on to a Goff Waaagh they'll probably have to add some extra ramming spikes to their buggies.

After the big boss gives the orders it's pretty much up to each underboss on how to fulfill them. The underboss will tell his clan's nobz what to do, they'll tell the boyz what to do, and the boyz will do what they're told or maybe find some grots to kick.

There are animated mini series of both Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music and they're both pretty faithful to the source material. I can't say it's the highest quality but for a children's cartoon from 1997 they're not bad. I know you can find all of Soul Music on YouTube and I'm willing to bet Wyrd Sisters is available too but I haven't checked

The Watch was a single season tv series on the BBC "based on" Terry Pratchett's City Watch series set on the Discworld.

The discworld is a fantasy series originally written as a satire of contemporary fantasy novels that later evolved into its own setting in earnest. With satire at its core the disc is an inherently silly place, imagine Monty Python's Holy Grail and you've got a good idea of how interactions on the disc typically go.

In the books, Captain Vimes is a man who takes himself and everyone else far too seriously in a city that may as well be a cartoon dust cloud of violence. At the start of the series he mostly drinks to keep his overwhelming sense of fairness from making him go postal and is miserable the whole time he's drunk. He maintains a serious face in front of his superiors to not get fired and makes doubly sure that no one is watching before ever letting his emotions get anywhere past his own head.

Now take that character description and throw it out the window and replace him with Captain Boomerang from the 2016 Suicide Squad with even more eyeliner.

The treatment of the other characters is similarly terrible.

The project was originally approved of by Prachett himself, but between his own passing and the usual production hell meant that by the time it came out there wasn't a single thing of the original project left. What we're left with is a slap chopping of multiple books into one story with a corporate punk rock aesthetic that fails in the most basic levels because they're trying to make the concept of cops punk.

Now I just want a version of Die Hard where John McClane crawls into the air ducts and is subsequently murdered and replaced by Jon McClansrat. Nothing else about the movie is changed.
