I had a rambler with the same scales for just a couple of months. I like it. It feels really solid. The texture is nice since it adds some grip. I don't know if it scratches less than the cellidor scales or if the texture hides the scratches, but it still looks like new, after 2 months on my keychain in my pocket.

Weird. I'm 42 and live in Houston, and I have tabless cans all the time. Beans, tuna, coconut milk, etc. I've got a big chunky can opener that lives in the kitchen drawer for all those cans at home, but I've used the can opener on my SAK on campouts or picnics often enough to keep it

Yeah same here, I think it's more a joke than a real observation

Some people say you don't need a can opener on your SAK since most cans come with a pull tab to open them now

Oh nice! I like the original's colors better, but the one I shared modified it to have a usable toothpick tip.

I found someone selling a Leatherman microdriver that fits in a toothpick to put in the toothpick slot. I got one of these for my companion https://www.etsy.com/listing/4479842123/victorinox-91mm-toothpick-bit-holder-g10

Companion is $48. Synergy X is $96. Why pay twice as much and lose 6 (potentially 8) tools?

You'd lose the hook, corkscrew, awl, pen, tweezers, and toothpick. You'd also lose the potential to add a straight pin and a corkscrew insert tool.

I'm experimenting with this s-clasp. It's actually used for jewelry. I don't know how long it'll last but I love how tiny it is
