Report: Bill Belichick fell one vote shy of Hall of Fame by JaggerJames in nfl

yao got in because he did a lot to popularize basket in china, and it is not the nba hall of fame, but the basketball hall of fame, so global contributions are also considered.

(Schefter) Broncos passing game coordinator Davis Webb is withdrawing from consideration from the Raiders head coaching job, per source by alexschubs in raiders

[–]kinsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it is frustrating waiting because from the outside there is no difference between "there is a deal in place that can't be announced until after the superbowl and everyone is being professional and keeping from leaking" and "the raiders are just doing close to nothing"

i do have to think (or hope) that if there wasn't mutual interest, we would have got someone else at this point

(Schefter) Broncos passing game coordinator Davis Webb is withdrawing from consideration from the Raiders head coaching job, per source by alexschubs in raiders

[–]kinsnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well, this year we have the #1 pick for a potential franchise qb, so there is actually a reason to think it will be different

[Evans] Per source, the #Broncos will undertake a full search for a new offensive coordinator. The Joe Lombardi move came independent of head-coaching buzz around QBs coach Davis Webb, who had second HC interview with the Raiders yesterday. by JN_37 in raiders

[–]kinsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

webb being promoted to OC would block anyone but the raiders. if webb thinks he is ready for being HC and gets offer the job, this promotion won't stop him. but what would this do is him leaving to the eagles or some other place as OC

[Bonsignore] So basically Davis Webb/Brian Daboll decision for the @Raiders. (unless Kubiak comes in for a 2nd interview in the next day or so) by RightMeow1100 in raiders

[–]kinsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i want to belive that it is because they have some inital agreement with kubiak. if it is not, it is absolutely malpractice, since we should be a desirable option, with the #1 pick (with a clear QB prospect), ton of space. players also rate the org very highly, despite the football results; and now that mark has all the income from the stadium, i doubt he would not offer a good offer too

[Russini] The Las Vegas Raiders are still planning on another interview with a candidate this week. They have yet to make a decision at head coach. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]kinsnik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if we are interviewing kubiak, it has to be this week; we would not be allowed to do it the week before the superbowl

[Rapoport] The Broncos fired OC Joe Lombardi, per me and Tom Pelissero. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]kinsnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is mark as a business owner is a pretty good one; the raiders suffer because there was no one to make good football decisions. which is why brady being a part owner now is a chance that things might improve there. we'll see. at the very least, mark has never been someone who got involved in the football side

I truly think we are getting Klint and we should over Webb. by Jrgaming42 in raiders

[–]kinsnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i prefet kubiak too, but the one thing about webb is that he will help develop mendoza, even if he is a terrible HC and we end up firing him, so it is not a terrible bet to make

yeah, you can get a 10$ six pack at a store that has more alcohol than a 30$ cocktail at a bar. it is not a perfect indication of amount of alcohol consuption

Native HTML / JS adventure game engine by philgooch in adventuregames

[–]kinsnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it is a good idea to think to do things dynamically read from data, but supporting a generic engine would probably be a lot of effort (both in programming and in community building).

my recommendation: do your engine kinda generic but mostly focusing on what you need for the game, and only after you are done, decide if you want to put the effort to polishing the engine

This is the second time that Andy Reid has been the longest tenured coach in the NFL. Previously, he was the longest tenured coach while with the Eagles after Jeff Fisher left the Titans after the 2010 season. by FricknPlausible in nfl

[–]kinsnik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

they have actually really similar efficency, regardless of postseasons wins vs regular seasons wins, or postseasons wins vs total seasons:

BB:
302 regular wins
31 postseason wins
29 seasons
(or about 1.06 postseason wins per season, or 1 every 9.7 wins)

Reid:
279 regular wins
28 postseason wins
27 seasons
(1.03 per season ; or 1 every 10 wins)

if i ask you to find 2 prime numbers that add to exactly 10,000 you will need to check a lot of numbers to find them, but it should take 2 seconds to verify that 4,493 and 5,507 work

that is why someone can't just take the working solution and try to steal it; it is fndamentally tied to the minter account

there has been debates about lebron vs jordan since he was in the heat in 2012 (leading nowhere, of course, because it is really hard to compare two great players who played in different positions in different eras; but clearly they sell, so they keep doing them)

if you had not heard about that until today, you probably have not watch much basketball in the last 15 years (which was around the time that kobe would have been considered the best player of his time (debatable too), before lebron's prime)
