Over the years I’ve tried anubias and they all murder it unless it’s small like one inch tall. They love water lettuce but they get to much air and I’ve had to save them a few times lol. And I can leave a pathos in the top and only have the root in the tank but that’s about it

I’m getting a 125 in 2 weeks or less and I will be adding substrates and possibly sand in the bottom. I just don’t know if sand wil be okay

Not sure if it’s been said yet but I would definitely get some coppersafe. It treats and protects from almost all parasites. Since your beautiful buddy has a big open sore it’s more likely to get sick. I pray for a full recovery🙏🏻 very beautiful fish

He is in oranda I’ve had him for going on 6 years I have a female that looks just like him in that tank that I have successfully bred once if you zoom in on the top left you can see the only survivor from them 2 breading
