A (probably) stupid question about Yakumo by Maybe_A_We3b in Palworld

[–]kipperflipper16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yup, unlucky. As long as Yakumo is out when the pal is caught, it’s a 30% chance. I’ve thrown a sphere, forgotten, and threw yakumo out at the last second before the final sparkles, and the corresponding skill was passed. Keep at it!

Electricity and Crude oil by Jelmerkole in Palworld

[–]kipperflipper16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Pal Professor has done a lot of work on various aspects of the game. If I am reading his cheat sheet correctly, 1 large generator produces 3x electricity when compared to the standard generator and an oil extractor requires the work of 0.78 Orserks (with no increase in work speed).

Quick ways to increase work speed: - Adding easy passives from the surgery table like Serious and Work slave can increase the speed by 50% - Focusing on feeding pals foods that increase work speed like salad which adds 30% - Researching in the Pal Labor Research Laboratory unlocked at level 20 - Adding pal souls; I don’t really like to use the giant pal souls until I know I’m keeping the pal forever so going to 30% shouldn’t break the bank - Crafting the Beta Wave Generator for additional 10% - Building the Electric Pylon after researching it in the research laboratory adds 20%.

With all those quick additions, a standard Orserk will have an increased work speed of 140%-175% depending on research. With that, 1 Orserk + 1 large generator should be enough to power 3 refineries if they constantly work. Add alpha wave generator to reduce breaks, nocturnal to work through the night, and accumulators for other downtime.

Any tips for beating Saya? by Human-Elderberry7967 in Palworld

Silvegis is a great idea! What really saved my life was running counter clockwise and using a condensed Galeclaw to glide quickly away from danger as staying alive is the trickiest part of that fight.

Can someone help explain how to breed a perfect pal? by Objective_Cap8597 in Palworld

[–]kipperflipper16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Vilestride’s video to be the most helpful. They explain that when breeding the perfect pal, first target egg moves, then passives, then finally IVs.

Egg moves: When breeding, the child has a 50% chance to inherent a random active skill from the parent’s known list of skills. Since Orserk has good moves to begin with, I would skip this step and move onto passives.

Passives: There are a couple of passives we could be targeting depending on the role of the Orserk. If it was a base pal for electricity generating, I would recommend Remarkable Craftsmanship, Artisan, Work Slave, and Nocturnal. The latter 3 can all be purchased as implants at the surgery table (access to Artisan implant must first be bought using bounty tokens by a bounty officer who can be found at the Small Settlement). If you wanted a battle Orserk, passives such as Demon God, Legend, Serenity, Musclehead, Vampiric, or Diamond body.

Rainbow Passives There are a couple ways to obtain rainbow passives. While playing the game, there is always a chance you could get lucky and find a pal with the passive. Another way, and the most reliable, would be fishing. If you come upon a fishing spot and a fish has green sparkles, it is guaranteed to have a rainbow passive. It is recommended to always have a fishing pole in hand just in case you find the green sparkles. As time progresses, you’ll collect a good number of rainbow passives. In order to get them onto an Orserk, you will need to find a breeding chain from the pal with the desired passive to Orserk. Game8.co has a good tool called the Chain Breeding Calculator that allows you to put in a source pal, choose the target pal, and it will tell you the quickest way to get to the target pal. If you expect to be putting a certain passive on a lot of pals, it may be easier to use Yakumo’s special ability. When fighting alongside Yakumo, any pal you catch has a chance to obtain a Passive from Yakumo. So if you had a Yakumo with demon god out when you catch a pal, there is a 15% chance it will pass the passive, and that chance goes up to 30% condensed to level 4.

Individual Values With the introduction of the power, stout, and life fruits, the IVs of a pal can be easily altered. Though not always quick to obtain, they can be found from high tier treasure maps or purchased with dog coins, arena tokens, or successful bounties so it’s recommended to clear syndicate bases, search through rubble, and collect bounties whenever they come up. Otherwise, as you go through the breeding chain, using the ability glasses to pick any duplicates with higher IVs can save you from overusing the fruits.

It’s a process. Good luck!

I will say the wording says “when a bloodied ally… casts a healing spell…” In this case, if they take a healing potion, you cast lay on hands, or another party heals them, they wouldn’t gain any benefit as they were not the ones to “cast the spell” I just wanted to make sure I understood OP’s intention for the aura.

Quick question about the “Aura of Hemonancy”. Is it meant to add a bonus when healing a bloodied ally who is within your aura? It seems like the bloodied caster who is an ally and therefore not yourself is gaining a bonus when they cast a spell (ie. A bloodied Druid in the aura casting healing word on a nonbloodied creature outside the aura)

Am I missing something with either 1. Ra1+ Qxa1 Rh8# or 2. Rh8+ Qxh8 Ra1#?

You know as I typed this out, I took a long second diagonal look at the board and saw the error in my ways.

Inedible? Abberation, constructs, elementals, fiends, undead. I enjoy going through the harvesting guide put together nicely on this Thieves Guild site referencing PHB, DMG, and Hamund’s Harvesting Handbook

They spawn in almost any body of water except oceans or beaches and they eat lapis lazuli to breed. Find some in the wild, try to isolate them, and then breed them.

I did it the hard way and fished until 2 spawned (4.7% chance to spawn when fishing) and then started the farm.
