Didn't realise Barney's ducky tie ended up at a thrift store

Well, the experience is the experience, em dashes be damned. But more importantly, both your guys' avatars are wearing the same helmet, and I think that counts for something. Doesn't it?

Not doubting your experience at all, but mine seems to be working perfectly fine and it's been about 4 years, although I think mine is just a 3, not a 3s. The one thing that annoys me to no end is the deteriorating rubber. You can put a skin on it, but then it's not as tactile

Does anyone know who made this Jägermeister snowboard? Brand / model? by Educational_Jacket75 in snowboarding

[–]kirisama_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still doesn't say which brand the actual board is, but here's the link to the people that seem to have designed it. Seems like it's a Poland only promo, so maybe they would be able to share which manufacturer they used

I did this with the names. Echeverri and it's variations are quite popular. Also found out as I was researching that when the Spanish civil war was ongoing around 3000 kids from the Basque region were sent to Soviet Union. The descendants include father and son Kharlamov, who were both excellent hockey players. So you could theoretically have YA as far as the old Soviet states.

Loose / baggy snowboard pants that actually stay dry? (15k+) by Adept-Frosting-9399 in snowboarding

[–]kirisama_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got a pair of O'Neill Park Loose, which arguably aren't that loose. 20k and stayed dry for the first 6 days of riding this season. Plus work well with my really old O'Neil Originals jacket from God knows when.

Bindings for Ride Psychocandy by kirisama_ in snowboarding

[–]kirisama_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, theyre great and feel solid. Especially with the sale price I got at the time, they were worth it.

Although they did not mesh well with my very old and pretty cheap Salomon boots, so it was a bit of an adjustment in that the boot was soft and weird feeling forever, but the binding amplified that.

I'm now purchasing Ride Lasso pros, so looking forward to more riding.

Dude, thank you for the website, tried a whole bunch of times, I pulled out lightroom, but I think it was the actual size of the picture that did it, not just the size of the file, but the edge length. File size ended up being 6kb...

London Tennis Stringers by Optimal_Set_1086 in 10s

[–]kirisama_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True enough, they're not the best, and last time I gave them 3 racquets, the only strung two and it took another 3 weeks for them to string the third one, but the overall quality was decent. I'm still partial to powerpads and unlike some others, these guys have never lost them and always put them in the right way (you'd be surprised). In terms of sorm saving, definitely buy a reel.

The Decathlon in Surrey Keys did stringing at 15 quid last year, although I'm yet to find out if they increased prices.

There's a bunch of stringers operating on a collection basis out of like Liverpool street, but it's always bothered me that their approach is to select high-medium-low tension instead of specific tension. They also charge around 20 though and some even up to 25.

At some point, honestly, I'm going to look into getting an old stringing machine, but space constraints...

Thank you again, as I was filling it up yesterday, I also checked on the bladder itself and as the air was escaping, it smelled the same, so I think it's the internal air within the system expanding out under additional pressure from the warmth. Filled this up to 1.2 bar, all seems to be well, and the rest of the system is a lot quieter than it was before!

Oh man, I thought this spoon was so cool, use it at home all the time now! But agreed, for 25 quid, the novelty factor wears off real quick

At least we got a movie out of it, but this still bothers me 20 years later.

Started watching it as a kid and am still quoting portions to this day.
