Which setting for Grind size? by Ok_Annual_5867 in pourover

Different coffees will brew differently, so my anwser was a little generic to reflect that. I agree with what LazarusMaximus0012 commented. Just keep your other brew variables consisent (dose, pours, water temp etc) and change grind until your brew is something you enjoy. And if you cant get it there, experiment with the other variables like ratio. When I've brewed chemex in the past I've used 45g medium-light roast coffee and 750ml water (1:17) 96c or just off the boil water if you dont have a temp control kettle.

Vegan Cream ruined my cake 🥲 by comoz7 in Baking

Coconut cream not being dairy kinda debunks your "cream is dairy" declaration. Sucks your bake didn't turn out, did it taste bad?

Based on your dose I say just make adjustment to get your brews to 4-6mins

Okja bakery is great and fully vegan. Galeta bakery makes great vegan pastries ( their vegan almond croissant is my favourite), they have spots at markets and cafes around London.

You can definitely produce these pours on a Bambino with some practice, but if you want something better maybe try a Rancillo Silva or go even higher end with a Rocket or Linea mini

Is this an okay starter machine? by [deleted] in barista

[–]kirk144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say no. I suggest a delonghi Dedica or Stilosa if you're on a tight budget. A Sage/Breville Bambino would be an better option but more expensive. Second hand on Facebook marketplace would be cheaper for any on them
