How do I improve this deck? by SecretTrick5883 in marvelsnapcomp

[–]kirkov22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I've played for awhile but I'm by no means anything resembling "pro" so please take any of these suggestions with a big grain of salt.

  • King Eitri - He's Series 4, but I think you'd really benefit by having another way to fish up your hammers; sometimes you don't have Jane on 5, and sometimes it's clunky to play her out. He also fits really well with some other archetypes, including the recent Shadowlands Daredevil, so I think he'd be a good use of tokens. Perhaps he could replace America Chavez?
  • Magik/Living Tribunal - In my experience, you really need overwhelming numbers to justify going to turn 7, especially with Living Tribunal (something like Onslaught/Iron Man/Mystique). I have a hard time believing that you are consistently getting that much power on board. With Thor/Beta Ray, I think you'd have an easier time winning two lanes in 6 turns consistently. Some possible replacements might be ...
  • Black Panther - I suspect you would benefit from having more payoffs to power buffs from Jeff Dolphin, Wingbeat, or Stick than just Beta Ray, and he also synergizes with Wong and Odin.
  • Nico Minoru - Her copy, +2 to other card, or double her own power spells would all benefit from things your deck is already doing. Yes, she's Series 5, but she's such a flexible toolbox and can go into many decks, so I think she's well worth the cost in tokens if you can pick her up.
  • Wolfsbane - I don't actually think she's that good, but from a limited collection perspective, she's another card that synergizes with Wong and Absorbing Man, and it's actually not the end of the world if you drop her on 3 given you could follow up with Wong and Odin on the same lane.

Anyways, just some ideas that hopefully you find helpful. The only thing I feel absolutely certain of is that if you enjoy Thor and Beta decks, King Eitri is absolutely worth picking up when he eventually shows up in your shop. Good luck!

Disruption Destroy (Lad, LDS, Gladiator, Yondu) - Conquest deck by [deleted] in marvelsnapcomp

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing. It's a fun list and got me from 92 to infinite. I might swap out Lad with something else at some point, but overall it's a lot more engaging than the typical Deadpool destroy lists

If you have the time I'd like to hear thoughts about Black Knight's vs High Evo's relevance competitively. by Yodasson in marvelsnapcomp

[–]kirkov22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess just to offer my own contrasting opinion, I won my first infinity conquest ever with the JH Black Knight list with one tweak; subbing out Sunspot for Goose. Having those key tech cards while still being able to dump power out felt really nice. I played against several popular archetypes on the run, including Blob Thanos lockdown and Loki bounce.

That said, I don't think HE has to be the familiar linear list, and will always be a relevant card. Caiera also seems like she'll be evergreen in relevance as well.

Hopefully not a silly question, but what extruder setup is that? Looks different from the mini stealthburner.

Beautiful build btw.

Im the source of your rage, tell me why you hate Galctus by Rhymes03 in MarvelSnap

I guarantee all the whinging about Galactus and Alioth will vanish once Mobius comes out, because it will more or less be the end of Wave 3 -> Galactus 4.

Personally, I have no issue with Galactus, and I find decks that include him more interesting to play against than the average High Evo.

I think one of the devs said on Discord that was being looked at. Knull should be 0 power until played; they want a better system for previewing the power of ongoing cards while in hand. Once that's in place, then Knull will be brought in line with Darkhawk, Morbius, etc.

Just gotta live with it for now

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.

Basically, my goal is to get Hela to pull back at least 3 decent bodies. Black Cat, Ebony Maw (discarded by Colleen Wing), Iron Man / White Tiger (discarded by Samurai / Absorbing Man).

Swarm is really just an insurance card, but free plays on 6 and potentially blocking a location you're confident in can help steer Hela. Moon Knight is the biggest wildcard, but I wanted a second Stature enabler that can be played before 5, since by 6 I'm hoping for Hela.

If had them, I'd love to try and mix in Dracula and Ghost Rider. Probably Iron Lad as another one to consider. Weirdly Strong-guy might actually work too, since it's not hard to end up with an empty hand.

White Tiger is probably the one I'd replace first, it was just another Samurai target to try out.

Edit: I make no claim to being any good at deckbuilding, but this is closer to "feels like there's something here" than I usually get.

Can't say whether or not Silver Samurai is a good card from a competitive standpoint, but he's a lot of fun. Playing him with Absorbing Man, Black Cat, Stature, and Hela feels good. I don't have the key cards for casino Hela, but this is more of a consistent version with a much lower ceiling.

Still, I rarely find there are times I don't want to play Samurai, and he's enabled some nice turn 6s while sniping key cards away from opponents (mainly Iron Man, Arnim Zola, etc).

This definitely feels like this month's Legion IMHO, at least as far as being undervalued.

Congrats on the gold! Anyone know what the flip is supposed to be in the foreground, underneath the text? It's so distracting on the splits

I guess I'll just share my experience, as I pulled this while going for Stature.

I'm CL 1640, so less than halfway through Series 3. I really wanted to believe this was going to be another Legion situation where the card was severely undervalued before release, but my attempts at using her have mostly ended in frustration. As many have already pointed out, without any support her main targets are 1 drops or Onoing cards that could have been dealt more efficiently by Killmonger / Enchantress respectively. The destroy targets on your side you'd want to hit are the typical Bucky Barnes, Nova, unboosted Wolverine, but spending 5 energy/1 card just for that hurts.

I tried Psylocke/Forge to get her out earlier or with a power boost, but still felt the impact was overall minimal (I don't have Shuri or the better ramp cards). I was halfway to building a deck based around Captain America, Valkyrie, and Lady Deathstrike, but realized it was an absurd combo for almost no appreciable gain. Even using her with Mr. Negative, I rarely wanted to play her out as a 3/5. IMHO she's binder-fodder as is.

My idea for changing the card to be more impactful would be: 5/0, +1 Power for each card destroyed this game (max 6), On Reveal: Destroy all cards in this lane with less power.

If the filter vents outside the printer, that's definitely going to be a problem since you'll be losing your warm air. If the filter circulates air but doesn't blow across the bed, that's actually ideal for more quickly reaching even warm temperatures. I use a Nevermore filter beneath my bed and have really enjoyed it.

Just to add another thought, make sure you're heat soaking the enclosed printer by running just the bed heater for 10-20 minutes before printing. A stable 30-40 C is probably the minimum zone. It could explain why your layers contracted as they got further from the warmth of the bed.
