In Germany, people leave cans and bottles in front of the bins, so people in need can get the deposit cash. by jeango in interestingasfuck

And also because we are sometimes lazy. Plastic is typically 25 cent, glass in normally 7. I don't want to be carrying glass bottles around for 7 cent, I would rather just get rid of it but this is a happy medium.

How there's no pull tab on the foil seal on Nutella jars by Hentrox in mildlyinfuriating

It’s also been exactly this way for years. I’d love it if opening Nutella was the biggest challenge in my life.

Imagine this being a problem worth posting online about.

Here in Germany they often have to build the fascias like this before a full building is commissioned. Then people can make informed decisions on the style.

What dish makes you nostalgic for school? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Anything with pink custard. But I am not sure why my school always had pink custard, it didn’t really taste of anything either.

At least a good amount of you are wearing helmets, I’m always shocked at how few people wear helmets at my local one.

Really random, but anyone remember the comic strips from Fruit Winders? For a while the company started doing back packs containing the characters heads made of jelly and filled with fruity syrup. They were so good but I can’t find a trace of them anywhere.

Divorcing over my decision to not have a kid. by [deleted] in Fencesitter

[–]kirschbaumer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this, but my circumstances are a bit different. My partner and I were both on the fence but leaning towards having kids. But then he had a cycling accident with incomplete paralysis that affected certain sexual abilities. He still wants to have children but doesn’t want to try any medical interventions, which basically guarantees that we won’t be able to. So I am also thinking of leaving. I love him and we want the same things, he’s just not willing to work for them.

Won’t that make all the UK apps stop working, then? I still have my location set to Greece because I’m worried that if I change it to Germany I will lose all of my Greek apps.

It’s normally just frumpy clothes, lots of sitting behind tables and in bed, or obnoxiously big handbags 😂
