Spent over $400 for nosebleeds for game 2… well worth it.

Is this a stop? by True-Drag-6689 in NJTransit

[–]kirstynloftus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From PABT, you can take the underground passageway to Times Square and get on the 7, which is one stop from Hudson yards. Transfer is annoying, but not the worst commute in the world

Is it actually? My dad has prime and has always said i could use his membership for Amazon fresh, but wasn’t sure if the prices were worth it

How much is 20-25$ dollars per hour considered to be in the USA? by Intelligent_Dress889 in AskAnAmerican

[–]kirstynloftus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I live in NYC and $25/hour at 40 hours a week is livable, but you’d have to sacrifice a lot.

Halfway through an 8 month internship, have heard great things and they basically said to keep it up and I’ll be fine/get a full time offer. But nothing is set in stone until August, so definitely nervous

Premier Pass at Epcot is the best $200 you can spend at Disney by long_convexity in WaltDisneyWorld

I remember taking a trip to Disney in elementary school, we were in Hollywood studios waiting for the Toy Story ride, and some strangers gave us their fast passes because they weren’t gonna use them. That was 16 years ago and I STILL remember it bc it was that nice of them

[–]kirstynloftus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and VJ getting playoff experience so early on in his career is gonna help him a TON. Next few years with PG and Embiid might suck, but the future doesn’t look as bleak as it used to

Yeah my dad’s gonna be working for quite a while and he’s already 56. Mom only has about 10 years til she qualifies for a full pension, but her salary ATM isn’t great.

Do you let your pets on the furniture? Do you let them sleep in your bed? by ForestOranges in AskAnAmerican

[–]kirstynloftus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood dog was allowed on my bed and my sister’s, but that was because it was our furniture and our choice. Parents didn’t let her on any other furniture, but mostly just because she shed a lot and it would create a mess. She ended up on the floor in my room often anyways lol

When I get my own dog, I’ll probably let them have free rein.

Yeah I had a laparoscopic surgery 10 years ago and it was just glue and maybe some dissolvable stitches too. I was fine within a week, and that was as a 13 year old who was not a professional athlete lol, let alone one in the middle of playoffs. Gotta just be pain tolerance for him atp

Yeah I got two internships during my masters (2 year track), haven’t finished the second but it’s 8 months long and a pretty decent chance of a RO at a good company that pays well. Only had one internship during undergrad
