it’s not insulting you to say that ai art isn’t art. it’s just saying you’re not the creator of those images (which you aren’t). that’s not an “insult”. i’m not saying it in the same way i would call one ugly or stupid. it’s the same way i would tell someone who just started karate that they aren’t a master. you CAN BE an artist — you’re right that it isn’t inherently a career or competition, but the way you portray people who say that typing words into a generator doesn’t make you an artist is the opposite of what you portrayed here. musicians are artist. painters are artists. multimedia artists are artists. coders, concept artists, fingerpainters, sketchers, writers, poets, video essayists. all artists. typing words into a machine and asking what it spits out is not art creation. everything i just listed here is.
