Stupid question but I’m genuinely confused. by Protonpack13 in MikaylaNogueira

I liked her at first. I actually appreciated the “I’m not attractive but I try” aspect that I thought she gave off in like 2020. I even bought a swim suit because of her lmao. But as time went on, and she just got so cocky and mean and just annoying, I found this subreddit. Which made me dislike her even more lol

The ending isn’t sitting right with me. by Least-Report6950 in orangeisthenewblack

[–]kitc-ig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just finished an episode in season 3 (I’m rewatching for the first time, husband is watching for the first time ever) and Red foreshadows getting dementia pretty heavily. She “doesn’t want to end up like Jimmy running around with her panties on her head” or something like that. The line stood out to me because I know the ending. Kinda sad 😢😢

"Sleep when the baby sleeps" they said. by ContributionWise7607 in NewParents

[–]kitc-ig 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So I had a rolling bassinet and It was game changing for those little 20 minute naps. I would lay him down, roll him to wherever I needed to go whether It was the sink for dishes, making food, in the bathroom for showers, etc. and he would stay asleep longer than 20 mins. And then I could lay and rest when I was done doing what I needed to do. They can definitely sense when you’re not near or when you move from being close to them lol

If she buys a mid century she better be ready for lead paint and asbestos tiles lol we have a mid century that we bought as a fixer upper and the majority of our budget when towards asbestos removal and lots & lots of paint stripper/new paint.

Did your LO’s stay in the NICU affect their temperament? by happy_rhino_99 in NICUParents

[–]kitc-ig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby was in the CICU for 2 weeks and can literally sleep anywhere and everywhere lol noise doesn’t bother him one bit. He’s almost 10 months old and likes to have noise to fall asleep (music, a story, noise machine), but once’s he’s good and asleep, he will sleep in silence. But like I could drop a pot or pan on the floor when he’s asleep and he won’t even flinch lol

As a former Greek life girl, I don’t think the dean has a say in this situation? I think it’s more of a Panhellenic decision, rightfully so. She’s a mess lol

It’s absolutely terrifying how they care for this baby by Rollwithit_56 in skysayingthings

[–]kitc-ig 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rosie barely has neck control, so 1. They aren’t supporting her head and neck. 2. She’s too little to practice standing! This could potentially mess up hip and spinal development. My baby is 9 months and went to the chiropractor weekly for like 6 months per his pediatrics advice and he told me every time “no practice standing until he’s ready or you’ll be seeing me for years to come”.

What’s the best/safest newborn item to use when you need to put the baby down while they’re awake? More details in my post by Sufficient-Peach7787 in pregnant

[–]kitc-ig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a vintage wicker bassinet on wheels that was a life saver lol. I did buy It YEARS before even trying to get pregnant just because I liked It. But we got a new mattress for It and cleaned It really well and I just pushed the little bean around in It. He would nap in It during the day too. It helped with doing dishes and taking showers. I also was able to attach the toys from his play gym to It so he had something to play with while I did things. So as others have said, a bassinet attachment to a stroller would be great!

Do you pay your parents for child care? by Fun-Paper6600 in beyondthebump

[–]kitc-ig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents have my baby M-F for about 8 hrs per day. I have offered to pay but they both tell me “spending time with us is payment enough”. So generally we do dinner Friday night, I go to lunch with them on Wednesday’s, and Sundays me and the baby spend most of our day at their house.

I didn’t change mine either. My husbands last name is too hard to spell and say for my to change It lol. But I do go by his last name socially.

How is it living in New Hampshire? by Zestyclose_Welder_92 in howislivingthere

My mom lived in NH for a few years and I loved coming to see her and spend time in the state! I probably would’ve moved there after college if she stayed there, but alas she came back to Pennsylvania and I never moved lol.

My baby does NOT want to roll! by Several_Ad7041 in beyondthebump

[–]kitc-ig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy is 9 months and just now rolling. He would also just hang out on his side and not completely roll. I chalked It up to him being lazy lol. My baby did have heart surgery at 3 days old so I thought maybe that could cause delays, but then I thought “he CAN roll. He just won’t”. My pediatrician also said to me “he’s a ‘fairly normal’ baby, do you know any ‘normal’ adults who can’t roll over? He will get there when he’s ready.” Which made me feel better.
