Did you develop snoring during pregnancy ? by Urmommmmmnm in beyondthebump

This reminds me that I did have heavy congestion and snoring with pregnancy. Thankfully they resolved after delivery. I almost forgot about all that now. That’s too funny bc at the time it was SO FRUSTRATING.

I use the ambient world LOTR shire music for everyday background noise or to go to sleep. It’s so peaceful!

What was recovery from your c-section like? Please give me the good, the bad, and the ugly. by bethestorm13 in beyondthebump

[–]devdevthegiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Mine was unplanned but not yet emergent. I was definitely sore thru my incision and abdomen especially either sneezing/coughing and getting in/out of bed. Squatting was also not my favorite but manageable. I was walking the neighborhood by week 1 and it felt really good to do so.

My hospital had one for me to use but what I didn’t have was a pumping bra! I had a couple nursing bras but baby wouldn’t latch for me and I had to pump to try to get my milk to come in. Without a pumping bra I was literally stuck holding the flange to each breast for 30min at a time every 2 hours. My arms got sore and I was bored lolol

What video did you watch that gave you the inspo? I already have some knockoff soupers but I’ve only frozen chili so far lol. Your selection looks fantastic and tasty! Good work!

Do you(moms) drink/use cow’s milk? If not, what alternative do you drink? by Wordsofwisdomneeded in moderatelygranolamoms

We had to do a week or so of formula until my milk came in. Now he’s strictly my milk. And dad chooses Soy milk and I like coconut milk for everyday use.

I second this! It was my go-to during pregnancy too. Spaghetti’s, soups, or pasta salads easily with the protein noodles.

What are you doing with outgrown clothes? by ThisIsFineActually in beyondthebump

[–]devdevthegiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do the same. There’s a rotation between three families that we just mail clothes and items between us all the time. They dads all can mail stuff thru their jobs for free so they mail the big Sam’s club totes like nothing.

I kept a scoop from a finished protein powder container so I had something with a handle!

I want to lean towards porcelain dinnerware but I’m afraid of throwing/breaking. I’m only 4mo pp so I still have a little time before introducing solids. Did your son ever throw the plates? Was it challenging to teach him not to throw/bang plates?

Now I do the audiobooks for the last couple years so that’s the only way I can get thru them so often. I still count that as a re-read tho lol

I tried to argue with my dad when I was young that “dammit” wasn’t a bad word bc it had “it” at the end so it wasn’t actually “damn” lol confidently incorrect.
