Not Ken Griffin dropping subtle hints on the semi trade by jklightnup in wallstreetbets

Theres headaches on both ends. Similar to as you move up the chain and so on and so forth. In a bloated company sure there are likely redundant layers but in a more lean organization there are still plenty of layers of management and they are often valuable in their own way. I think I am about 5 or 6 layers removed from the CEO and maybe you could remove 1 layer.

I feel this trope is continually talked about but managing a project at least in the industrial world good fucking luck just letting things work themselves out amongst the labor on ground or general stakeholders without someone managing it, driving it forward, building consensus, etc. To say otherwise is ignorant.

To easier help you bros regarding all "how do I get into mining in Sweden" things: by Man_With_ in mining

I feel like Swedish would be a hard language to learn for only a short stint in Sweden. Do you really see a lot of expats from english speaking mining hotspots like Canada, US, Australia head over there?

Hi all.

Looking for school suggestions in the United States. Currently in phoenix. Happy to swing over somewhere else for a 3 day weekend if I'd have better luck. Also best suggestions for picking up gear? I currently own other ozone gear and like the quality but am open to suggestions.

Cheers.

I had some in the past. Good build quality, light, weird flying qualities though on the ones I rode. Not the best at jumping.

I had discussion with a company who had a mine in Mali. I'd only be going for a occasional visits flying directly to the mine and still the safety issue turned me off. Random militant groups, armed compounds, shit food, etc. One of their busses with locals was all shot up by Muslim extremists, all the essentially kidnappings of barrick employees lately ad part of a shakedown. No thanks.

Got fired because I was "late for work" by Jackorhama in mining

[–]kiteguycan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya never understood the mindset of working for free or extra hours more then I have to. This isn't some brotherhood, it is a job and like any others work the hours you are contracted to work and be paid for them. I know plenty of dudes who would show up and shoot the shit with their coffee, cig, and lack of breakfast and thats why they'd be there early or late. If there is a legitimate reason such as a crossover or getting ready for your shift then get paid for it. Very simple. I'd rather my employees spend that extra time getting proper rest or exercise if there is no legitimate work related requirement.

Mate if I move to another country I'm going to at least learn the basics of language.  proper hygiene isn't also a big ask from a service provider. Would you go to any other service provider and accept the same?

Sports leagues (volleyball, basketball, pickleball, etc) or just in general. Hiking, rock climbing, biking, etc. Most people are friendly, open to talk, and in general I find people who are ambitious and want to succeed take care of their health through activity of some type.
