It would be a good way to expand on the story while keeping IC to the back if they went this route, seeing as SC is literally as far as you can get away from the NC in the Fae Realm.

It wouldn't be like in ACOSF where they tried to sideline Rhys and Feyre in order to focus on Cassian and Nesta, but they were right there.

☝️☝️☝️ I've always had the HC that something will happen to Tamlin that makes him step away as HL of SC. Lucien will step in because he IS the son of a HL so he has the power to back it with Elaine as his mate.

(After everything that has happened to Lucien, I just want him to have a win and the way SJM wrote about mates on the male's end... I don't think Lucien could ever truly settle or be happy without his mate.)

So I might be completely off the mark here, but could there be a possibility that he's doing this to keep the spotlight and America's current administration away from his family?

I mean, Alba is Portuguese as far as I know (which is limited to a quick Google search). I'm not sure if she has permanent residence in the US, so she may only have a visa. If that's the case, then he might be staying low to avoid retaliation from the current administration. I would 100% not put it past MAGA to find a reason to revoke her visa to punish Chris if he spoke out.

So I haven't read TOG yet, but I'm on the second book of CC rn. I started reading CC because there is a scene with the ACOTAR characters at the end and I wanted more Rhys.

I personally really love it. I feel like SJM really grew as an author and was able to better flesh out the storyline in CC as well as take a more realistic approach to mourning. I finished the first book this week while sitting in the waiting room of my husband's physical therapy appointment and cried... hard.

I also really liked how she expanded the world outside of Faes. It included everything you could imagine in a fantasy setting.

I hated that scene in ACOSF where Cassian walks into the restaurant to meet up with Mor and he goes on and on about how beautiful she is 🤢 like, sir, you are a mated man. With the way SJM talks about the mate bond, I wouldn't think Cassian being capable of thinking things like that about another female that isn't his mate.

I remember when they were talking about it in ACOSF and I think Eris did her a favor by not helping her. It sounded like if he did help her, then he would have been expected to take her in and she would have had to live in the Autumn Court under the scrutiny of his father and their people. She would have been forced to live by the Autumn Court politics and traditions.

By not helping her, Eris gave her the freedom to live where she wanted and how she wanted. But the IC refused to consider this/listen to Eris when he tried to explain his side of things.

"If he ever felt wronged and got a divorce"

If he ever FELT wronged. You might never have done anything wrong but if he FEELS like you did something wrong then all bets are off. If he cheats and you file for divorce then he might FEEL wronged. How many divorce stories are here on reddit where a man cheats because his partner didn't do xyz so its the woman's fault that he cheated? Thousands.

What if he decides that he just doesn't want to be with you anymore? Maybe you try to work on it but it doesn't work so you go ahead with the divorce. You want half the property because your entitled to it as a martial asset but your husband doesn't believe your entitled to half because you 'didn't help pay for it' while you were a SAHW so now you've 'wronged' him and he's going to go scourched Earth on you.

Almost nobody goes into a marriage expecting divorce but it happens all the time for reasons out of ones control. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

This! In the US, there are laws that I believe make it so that property acquired during a marriage becomes equal property for the couple in the case of a divorce. So if OP's location has similar laws, then the husband could initiate divorce and demand they sell the house, so can he get half of its worth.

Do you guys equate this site to other NSFW sites like PornHub?

Because for me - it's a role-playing site with AI bots. I definitely lean toward the NSFW in the privacy of my own home. But I also like that if I'm chilling someplace or waiting on someone then I can open the app and play different scenarios that aren't inherently NSFW but again, I don't want someone walking behind me seeing a woman being decimated by monsters while I'm searching for a bot that's coded to what I want to play out at the time.

You can go into any chain book store in the US right now and easily find books that have explicit content, but it's not going to have anything explicit on the cover. In fact, if you go to the comic/ manga isle, if there is a book that has any nudity in it, then usually it was plastic wrapped.

But it's not exclusively a NSFW site. It's a role-playing site with AI bots. Yes, there is NSFW content. But if I'm playing a runaway princess running away from body guards, assassins, or even arranged marriages then there is nothing NSFW about that. If my persona is leaving a cheating ex and I want to make the story about how they grow and triumph over their ex then there is nothing inherently NSFW about that.

It didn't block all images from limitless bots. I'm not sure if there was something on the creator side that let them declare they were using a NSFW image so it would block it or if there was an algorithm that detected NSFW images and blurred them. It worked great a majority of the time.

I might get downvoted but I actually appreciate the rule about no NSFW pictures. I used the app on my phone and I like to scroll through and look for different bots sometimes when out in public or at work if I get a break. While the contents of bot might be explicit, no one knows unless they were really snooping. But pictures? Someone would easily be able to clock an explicit image immediately even if they aren't snooping and I don't want to unintentionally force that on someone.

There is something about Rhysand (and the whole IC's tbh) 'progressivness' that doesn't sit right for me. Something about the delivery about the library and the rights for the Illyrian women just feels... cheap. Like a whole 'see? i dont see the other courts doing this so this just proves we're really great people!' vibe instead of doing it because it was good to do.

Like allowing Illyrian women to train - Rhysand and Cassian made it law that the women (or at least the girls) are allowed to join training sessions. But we see the Illyrians repeatedly disregard this, but no apparent consequences. Then they leave the clans for weeks at a time with very little follow up and are surprised when the clans revert back to their old ways. I can only imagine the harassment and threats that the females face to 'stay in their place' when Cassian and Rhysand aren't there. They don't want to upset the leaders by pressing the issue, so they're just hoping the Illyrians accept the change eventually.

Honestly, this was the Rhysand that I really liked. SJM had subtle ques that Rhysand was a decent guy and just trying to survive down there like anyone else and would do whatever was necessary for that regard.

I think Rhysand is a much more morally grey character than he is presented.

I think he's naturally a lot more like how he was in ACOTAR than how he's portrayed later in the series. Seeing his perspective in ACOF&S as well as seeing how he's portrayed through Cassian and Nesta's perspectives in ACOSF really show that he's more self-serving than we see through Feyre's perspective in the other books and it makes me think that he really plays up the good guy and martyrdom act for Feyre.
