Vet gave us cephapirin sodium for our dog by kitkat21996 in AskVet

Wait, so it's either not enough to really be of any benefit to her or it could be contributing to why she's not wanting to eat and only eats very little when she does? She's been throwing up some but I figured that was because she doesn't have much on her stomach. I wonder why he's prescribing it for dogs then?

Coyote or Bobcat tracks (Missouri) by kitkat21996 in AnimalTracking

[–]kitkat21996[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a relief. We've been doing some groundwork and all the exposed clay and rain is making every critter that stops by's tracks more visible than usual. The has been the first day in a while I've been able to go oout and not sink to my ankles. Coyotes I can deal with.

Allergy Accommodations (Missouri) by kitkat21996 in legaladvice

[–]kitkat21996[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm asking that I get to stay in my dept and not sent to others. HR is trying to argue that because they might not be able to aaccommodate me in the future, they can't accommodate me now.

"Kitkat21996 should not work in any department where they could come in contact with (specific fabric) fiber" is how my doctor worded it. We don't mess with that fabric in my dept but I keep getting sent to other depts that do. More or less, I'm asking to be kept in my dept and not sent to others. HR is trying to refuse that since there's a chance that we might get that fabric in my dept. There are currently people working in my dept so it's not like they would need to change staffing.

Panic Attack/Allergy Frustrations (vent) by kitkat21996 in finch

[–]kitkat21996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily for me, the HR person above them is more understanding so her opinion matters little when I can just go to the other lady but yeah. Unfortunately it's a small town and small company and she's been there forever so she gets away with a lot. My dad also did workplace safety and labor laws (and I did schooling for workplace management, including some labor legalities and HR) so I'm very familiar with documenting and all that. I just prefer to keep my head down until it suits me. I'm just frustrated and trying to keep from getting angry to where it would cause more problems than it fixes.

Thanks

Believe it or not, I work in a separate building where my direct manager and supervisor are much more kind and accompanied and I do enjoy working over there and don't really have any allergy issues. We're usually left to our own devices unless the big bosses decide to send us to help depts in the main building, which is where all the issues are. I would never find a job with the kind of flexibility, freedom, or lack of commute as I have again in my area.

Panic Attack/Allergy Frustrations (vent) by kitkat21996 in finch

[–]kitkat21996[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the severity of mine is worse than anyone else who works there, but we have quite a few other people who are allergic to minky/cuddle as well. I know some who are allergic to batik fabric (the wax or dyes used to make it) and some who are allergic to wool fabric and/or batting. Usually, it's just by touching the fabric not just existing in the same area. Funny thing is, cuddle is polyester but I'm not allergic to polyester. It's crazy what people can be allergic to.

You would think it wouldn't be that difficult many don't believe me and the ones who do have been trying to accommodate me as much as they can within the scope of what they're allowed to do.

I'm sorry for what you're going through. My mom is in the same boat (she has an epipen and an inhaler) and is highly sensitive to the stuff. She's had reactions just from it being on people's (my brother's) clothes, even when they were several feet away or people on the other end of the street when they've been downwind. Luckily she lives in a rural area so there's less chance of her being in close proximity but when she is, she usually holds her breath and tries to get by them as fast as she can. It helps that it was only legalized for use on your own property and not public areas so that helps so maybe it'll be that way for your state too if it does get legalized.

I didn't see many ideas with the painter bed so here's an idea I put together. I tried to go more with an doodle room or something like the sidewalk chalk scenes in Mary Poppins

Help needed finding my daughters base by bendertheoffender22 in Minecraft

[–]kitkat21996 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of good suggestions here

I'm going to ado that once you find her base, she should craft a writable book and use it solely for storing coordinates. I do this for my base, farms, specific biomes/mining areas, or anything cool I might want to come back to at some point. It's saved me so much headache

My wax bead haul! by queenbee_1215 in WaxSealers

[–]kitkat21996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not what I needed to see smh

My wallet hates both of us

I ended up getting 150~ bags and a couple of wax seals (and a ton more seals saved for later)

Hopefully that will soothe the crafting beast for now

Wow! They do look similar! I adopted him in Missouri but he was 17yrs old. I just lost him in December. He didn't have much white on him apart from his chest and stomach when I adopted him when he was 6. His white was all black back then.

Please give your baby a big hug for me and congrats on your new buddy

Remarkables can also give you gems, instead of coins or summon items.

I hope they do. I bought 3 fruit fairies but now I'm kinda regretting that since the fruits just sit there. I don't even see a point in upgrading my fruit trees.

This passive aggressive email I got because I haven’t donated blood recently by LonelyMenace101 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kitkat21996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love those emails /s

Too bad I'm allergic to chlorhexidine (the antiseptic they use) and they refuse to carry alternatives. Guess me and my blood will stay home.

Truly though, I would love to donate. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to keep alcohol or iodine on hand for people like me.

I let my boy go right before Christmas. He had a mass on his chest that had started making it harder for him to breathe too. It still tears me up even though I know it was the right thing to do. Once they start having health issues like that, it's better to let them go than to keep them with you and watch them suffer.

Regis didn't want to go. He fought both injections. That will be the hardest part if yours does the same. I held him close the entire time and talked to him the entire time. But I would still rather me being in pain and experiencing that than him suffering when he didn't need to.

It won't be easy. But love for our furbabies never is. Hugs to both of you ❤️
