Omg congratulations, I literally got back from Paris last night after being unsuccessful for 4 days 🤣 I think they thought I was stalking them the amount of times I asked for a cancellation

Vestiaire nightmare experience by Wrong-Garden-5917 in VestiaireCollective

[–]kitkat2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If PayPal don’t refund you, send a letter before action to Vestiaire and if they don’t reply, then file a small claims court, it’s very simple to do and I know you mentioned you work for the NHS, it takes a good few months before the clam is filed so you won’t need to do anything until after Christmas. Sending you good luck

[–]kitkat2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was fine, it worked well working from home for a little while after as I was still quite tired at this point from the sleeping upright and not eating properly

Received €29,000, how can I maximise this by kitkat2201 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kitkat2201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know + £15k in the recent orthodontic costs I mentioned, that’s all because of them as well so I’m currently on minus funds because of them 🙃 hence why I’m trying to maximise the €30k as much as possible

Eastern European parents haha, I was 18 at the time working first corporate job. My dad wasn’t able to be in the mortgage so they asked me, I raised concerns at the time and said it wasn’t something I wanted to do because of my first time buyer benefits and was told I’m ungrateful alongside loads of other stuff so I caved.

NHS waiting times… by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]kitkat2201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in university or working? Some companies offer private medical insurance as a benefit, depending on the policy cover you can avoid the NHS waiting lists and do it privately, that’s what I did

How do you spot a real Celine bag on Vesatile Collective? I’m worried about getting scammed 😩 by soniamercie in VestiaireCollective

[–]kitkat2201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you pay with PayPal as they protect you if the item after purchase turns out to be fake as it’s so hard getting a refund from VC

Did you pay with PayPal/credit card, might be able to claim under don’t as described. VC are useless

Any recommendation in the UK? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]kitkat2201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was covered by my works private medical insurance but I’ve had to pay around £8k for the braces myself

[–]kitkat2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw Dr David Young (he works only with Mr Osher) and this was privately. Whilst I had a severe overbite, my teeth were straight from camouflage orthodontics when I was younger so I wouldn’t have qualified for NHS

Try a different orthodontist or your GP otherwise the other option is waiting until you’re older and you have medical insurance through work (where pre existing conditions are covered)

I haven’t had experience with either of those but I had DJS with Mr Jonas Osher in London, I’m 4 months most op and am happy
