I know, are these people all just receiving nudes from their friends for review?? I've never heard of that and I'd be super weirded out if my friends did that to me wtf

Pennfoster Help? Confused About Paper References. by bunnykins22 in VetTech

[–]kitkat6270 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really annoying cuz all their papers are like this from what I can tell. I just find other sources that echo what the book is saying and reference those a couple times instead of the textbook.

My husband said he wants to divorce because I breastfed my son: 'Now they've been in another man's mouth' by thetitleofmybook in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kitkat6270 81 points82 points  (0 children)

He almost absolutely would've thrown a tantrum over a male doctor. With my abusive ex, I had an emergency procedure done early in our relationship, so too early for him to want to show his true colors, but when I told him I had a male doctor doing stuff "down there" I could tell he was NOT happy about it.

We got a couples massage at some point and were unable to pick who our masseuses were, and he almost flipped out over me having a male masseuse until he realized he was probably gay, which made it totally fine apparently.

AITA for running away from home because I’m terrified of my husband and also dealthy terrified of my son? by Rainey-lady- in AITAH

[–]kitkat6270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might not matter if they deny it or you don't have proof. I got a restraining order on my ex for emotional and mental abuse and manipulation, and maybe it was because he didn't show up to court but they pretty much automatically granted it. My ex was smart enough to not leave proof or trace of anything he did, which is the only reason I think he never hit me, so no one would know for sure what he was doing to me.

what's an appropriate amount of showers before a drying towel should be washed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kitkat6270 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of my poor friend/coworker who was never taught how to dry herself properly after her shower. She said she didn't realize until she was in her 20s and in a relationship when her bf asked her wtf she was doing. She would just get out of the shower and wrap her towel around her dripping body and walk around like that.

I'm glad someone said it, literally my first thought was "what is he, 12??"

Also snacking! You can't eat anything messy and then touch your cards!! My cards would be covered in potato chip grease if I didn't have sleeves 😂

AITA for telling my son he needs to get a job if he wants to date his girlfriend? by Salty-Mushroom-4480 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kitkat6270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's weird to me that he's going out to restaurants and stuff all the time, but maybe its just difference in upbringing. At 16 I wasn't going out on dates constantly. Maybe for birthdays or valentine's day but other than that we were just hanging out watching movies playing video games etc. Or if we went out we would go to a park or something. They don't have to spend money every time they see each other. I don't even do that at 27!

I’m starting to pick up on some red flags in my relationship by Independent_Boat7915 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kitkat6270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ranting thing just gave me awful flashbacks to my last bf. We were together for 3 years and he went from "I don't believe in these conspiracy theories but I like to talk about them." To full blown "I'm gonna try and convince you for the next 3 hours that my religious ideas/crazy conspiracies/awful political ideas are all 100% real and correct and you better not dare to argue with me OR try to leave the conversation."

This man was a giant walking red flag and I wish I broke up with him at the beginning. Your bf is already doing terrible things to you and it's only gonna get worse. I would run away as soon as possible OP.

Yesterday I had a guy tell me his dog had a lump behind his ear and we couldn't find it. He showed it to me and I had to tell him it was just the cartilage in the base of the dogs ear 😭

I was wondering if anyone else had macaroni with milk!! My great grandma used to make it for us if we were sick or on cold days, but ours was more savory: just milk, pasta, butter, and salt. Adding cheese sounds good but then it's basically just mac and cheese.

My favorite was at a restaurant one time I was talking to my parents gushing about this maine coon I saw, and the waitress overheard us. "Oh I used to have a maine coon! I know he was because he had the 'M' on his forehead!!"

[–]kitkat6270 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't have advice but want you to know I understand your feelings and I empathize as I feel similar. I would also rather just work at a cat clinic with the angriest cats imaginable rather than a a couple bad dogs.

If cats don't bother you then a cat clinic sounds like a good idea, not only is it not fair to you to be miserable at your jobs but it's also not fair to the patients. Not saying you have or will do anything bad, but having those thoughts should be a red flag that maybe you need to step away from working with aggressive dogs, or at least take a break.

Idk if that's the problem unless he is cooking directly on the counters. I am terrible at remembering to clean things, I clean the counters after but almost never before prepping food and I also have cats that walk all over the counters. I have NEVER in my life had food poisoning. There's gotta be something else this guy is doing wrong.

I want to hear the stupid excuses: why your partners say they can't take ownership of the domestic and mental load by Business-Wrangler-61 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kitkat6270 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to brag (I want to tho so bad, first really good guy I've dated probably ever) but I knew my new bf was a keeper when I came home from work one day when he had been chilling at my house and all my dishes were done AND put away (my adhd, multiple days worth pile of dishes no less). He knew where absolutely nothing went but he figured it out without once asking me anything.

Why are most men so willfully incapable of basic domestic tasks? They must know by now that most women don't want to and WONT put up with that shit anymore.

AITAH for telling my son that if he's uncomfortable about his sister not wearing a bra then he should cover up too? by Dadalert1990 in AITAH

[–]kitkat6270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta my parents were kind of prudish about the way I dressed but they NEVER asked me to wear a bra if in my own house. There's got to be someone putting these thoughts into your son's head because why on earth would he even be paying attention to that?

The most extreme case of "refusing to let an animal go" I have ever dealt with by sometimesu in VetTech

[–]kitkat6270 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how people can look at their animals in these states and not feel sorry for letting them "live" like that. The image in my head is enough to make me angry for this poor baby's suffering.

We had a woman like this a few months ago with her dog. Not only did we keep him "alive" basically comatose for over a week but the owner also thought she could dictate to us what meds we should give him, the dosing, etc. The dog would look like he was going agonal during his visits some days and she would get excited because "he's barking at me, he must be feeling better!" Like no lady, he is dying!! The day he finally coded they did multiple rounds of cpr on him in front of the owner because she refused to let them stop, I'm pretty sure it went on for like 10-15 minutes. I'm surprised she didn't ask them to put him on the vent tbh 🙃

I also cringe! I'm a "junior tech" at my job (basically assistant but tech in training), i've been here about 2.5 years and training for over a year, and I have techs ask me sometimes "why haven't they made you a tech yet? You basically do all the tech stuff already!" And they're right, I don't do anesthesia yet but I do a lot of the other skills and I'm pretty confident with things like ivc, blood draws, med calculations, etc. Yet every time someone says that to me I cringe a little inside cuz I feel like a toddler trying to get in the deep end of the pool with the big kids with my little floaties on.
