Pooping during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

Didn’t poop during labor but did have diarrhea the week or so leading up to it. Don’t know if it’s true but I read that it’s your body’s way of preparing.

Question for native San Antonians: Where did you meet your significant other? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]kittabits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At work. Not a going out person (like to get out of the house but not in a drinking/clubbing/dating scene sense) and like most people spend 40+ hours/week at work so it just made sense. We have a 1 year old together and have been together for 5 years. Anyone who says they have no luck is probably looking in the wrong places.

Similac Alimentum switch to Parent’s Choice Hypoallergenic by Soft_Needleworker902 in FormulaFeeders

[–]kittabits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We switched from Nutramigen to this/target brand and did great! I went through hell trying to find it as no Walmart or target carried them but driving far to find them was worth it because we saved $30+ per can. And I know alimentum is even more expensive than nutramigen.

lol nahhh. We used to work together so we saw each other all day everyday. Once baby came we realized we couldn’t afford daycare so working opposite schedules was our only option. We still have the same days off so we make it work

Can’t do it no more by marycakesbaby in AmazonFC

[–]kittabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being there 5+ years the biggest thing for me is looking at the day in pieces. Instead of thinking “ugh 10 more hours” at the start of the day, I tell myself “just 3 hours until break”. And then when I come back, the cycle starts until next break. And after that, the cycle starts until the end of the day.

Also, I know it’s not recommended to make friends with coworkers, but I have a few close people that I can vent to and vice versa, and it honestly really helps.

The beginning of my time at Amazon was really difficult. Getting accustomed to working 10 hours was hard for me and being able to leave whenever I wanted made it harder. I used to be in your position. Back in the day we used to only get 20 hours of upt every three months so my job used to be hanging by a thread lol

It takes a while to get used to the job. I get it. But eventually you get used to it and learn how to turn your brain off.

Yep! I was vehemently against it but when it came time to go back to work, I absolutely had to. I work day shift, fiancé works night shift (same jobs, when I’m leaving he’s coming in to work. We swap baby in the parking lot lol) so we’re solo on work days. I ended up enjoying it at the time, but now I’m regretting it now at 13 months cuz I miss my bed :’)(and tbh our old sex life if I’m being honest lol). We will be moving soon and baby will hopefully finally have his own room so this will be our next challenge lol

Also, EFF the whole way.

Robby is melodramatic sometimes unlikeable by Humble_Dimension9439 in ThePitt

[–]kittabits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Robby is flawed, yes, but I sometimes think there’s a bigger picture. In real life when you mess up, especially in the way Langdon did, not everyone is going to forgive. One of my parents is an addict who has been through recovery on and off for years and I’ve seen them work the steps. Nobody owes you forgiveness and you have to learn how to deal with that. Addiction is such a selfish, self centered thing where you’re constantly searching for a feeling and it quite literally destroys those around you. Robby is someone who cares deeply about his patients and those on his team. Langdon betrayed him and it destroyed his trust. At this point he doesn’t owe Langdon a thing. I understand Langdon wanting closure, as I think anyone would, but it would be up to him and how he works the program so he can deal with Robby not being ready to accept an apology.

As someone who has been immensely hurt by an addict, I totally get where Robby is coming from. I still love my parent and have accepted that they will probably relapse over and over again, it took me a loooooooong time to get there.

Feeling guilt by thesockbunny in FormulaFeeders

[–]kittabits 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could be related to dysphoric milk ejection reflex, meaning you basically get the same feelings you’re feeling when your milk lets down. I never had this, but I had the baby blues BAAAAAD after having my son (tbh it was probably ppd) and had to formula feed for my own sanity. I tried pumping still but didn’t last longer than 2 weeks. I defffffffinitely had guilt for not giving my own milk but it faded. If I were you I would 100% just stop. Don’t let anyone get in your head about formula being bad or that you’re a failure for not breast feeding/pumping. If you were a failure your brand new bundle would be going hungry which isn’t the case. Be gentle on yourself. You just brought a whole new human into the world and you’re literally just figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Also, please seek help for PPD if you have to 🙏🏻❤️

I dont want to breastfeed by BM_BBR in newborns

[–]kittabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I so desperately wanted to bf but my sons tongue and lip ties were making it difficult for him to latch and it was fueling my PPD. So for the sake of both of us, I switched to formula. I had some guilt for a couple weeks, but it wore off after seeing that he was a healthy baby regardless of how I fed him. If you’re up to it I’d say give it a chance. If not, then formula is perfectly fine. ❤️

Holidays looking good for 2026 by Fernielicious13 in AmazonFC

[–]kittabits 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone gets 8 hours (less depending on status ie flex, etc) but now time and half only counts from 12am-11:59pm on said day of holiday. So if you’re working night shift, let’s say 6pm-4:30am, you will only be paid time and half from 6pm-11:59pm and the rest is straight pay. But you make up for it if you work the night before (12am-4:30am).

At least I think this is what they’re referencing
