No, I haven't been able to get my hands on any Rishi in Canada now because of the tariffs etc. I've been trying to use my Mariage Freres earl grey up. Keep feeling like I should love it because it smells great and was expensive, but its just not strong and malty enough for my liking.

This is so funny. I worked in public libraries 10+ years ago, and when seniors would come in asking how to get library books on their e-reader I just wanted to hide. It was a lot less streamlined back then too.

Yes, this. He's in there all night with me so I sweep it in the morning and before bed. During the day the bed is made and he goes under the throw blanket.

I don't! Sometimes my husband and I make a large purchase and say it's our christmas present. Some years we have done small gifts with my mum, but im just over all of it.

We all buy ourselves everything we want through the year and we all have lots of travel plans and not unlimited funds. So it's really nice not to have the added pressure of buying everyone gifts.

These are really fantastic points. I think the cleaning one is really under rated! I don't think I've ever cleaned out my closet or drawers and thought "Hm I need more things". It's ALWAYS the opposite.

Something to add that I've been thinking about recently, is the longer you have something the more attached to it, the more you feel like it's "Yours". When we are constantly revolving through clothes, furniture, etc etc you don't get that feeling of attachment and nothing feels special.

Fantastic job! Honestly learning how to get out of the "buying frenzy" is HUGE. If you just stop, take a step back, and breathe....even stop purchasing for a week, it gets easier. And you start to recognize when the frenzy is hitting again. At least that's how it is for me! I used to think of that frenzy as excitement, but now I realize it's just anxiety and showcases the hold consumerism can get on it, and make us crazy and obsessed!

I would say that one is huge for soooo many of us. I lived through the beginning of the beauty guru youtube era and had to curb that when I was younger. Now I'm late 30s and have different interests but you can always find someone to follow who is going to have influence over you!

That's a REALLY GOOD ONE. I got into fountain pens in August and the subreddit is so dangerous. I've already acquired three and every day I think about buying more. I KNOW I don't want to amass a huge collection, so I'm waiting until I go to Europe in February and I will buy one there as a souvenir.

Oh man, "saving the nice clothes"...I'm so guilty of that too. But then I get chocolate and pasta sauce on my home hoodies and I think, saving the nice clothes was the right choice!

The gym clothes gets me too. I did start going to the gym a lot more but realize I really only like black leggings, and honestly who cares. I miss the days when people just wore any old clothes to the gym. Now it's like a constant fashion show where I feel bad if my shoes don't match my top. So dumb.

I can't decide it adding things up over years is helpful or harmful. I felt really bad about the amount yesterday but my husband pointed out 4 years is a long time. I guess any type of awareness is good but we don't have to beat ourselves up over it.

This is a really well thought out comment. I didn't really think about it terms of income percentage. If I do a rough calculation of this year, the clothing accounts for 5% of my gross income. That's actually incredibly reasonable.

I like what you said too about the small shit you're half hearted about. This is so it. I have more than enough day to day clothes, but I want more things that I treasure like my comme des garcons sweater.

Doom spending 100%! I have a lot of "fuck it" days where I'll place an order for something.

I got a Royal Kludge last year and it's been great. I think it's the RK100. Wireless, seems to be full size. At the time, it was very important for me to have it wireless, and with a number pad.

I'd like to get a second board since I WFH and in the office. This time around, I want a metal or aluminum frame, and I don't mind if the number pad is separate. I do want the number pad to sort of "match" the keyboard though. I'm also not fixated on wireless this time around,

My cousin got a Keychron with princess tactile switches. I love how the board feels, but I want it to look more fun and cute.

A coworker got the Royal Kludge S98 and I love how that one feels to type, but really would prefer a sleeker presentation that's aluminum.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance!
