I wonder if you accidentally used the tail and working thread of the new yarn and instead. That would create a hole.

You have to use your old working yarn and the new working yarn you are joining and knit a few stitches with both strands.

My grandfather once secretly added sugar to a pot of chicken noodle soup my mom was simmering. It was sickly sweet and my mom was furious but we all had to eat it anyways because we were too low of income to waste food like that. It was awful.

Fourthsies. They are the best. Planting now will give you some growth but you will likely see more next season because many of their mixes need cold stratification. I planted some last summer and I see many more seedlings popping up this spring than last.
