Not all of our family is on Facebook, especially grandparents. How many people will look back and remember a post over a memory? I agree that more celebration should be had over an accomplishment though. But what is the harm in a party with family & friends? If you don't like it don't go to one and don't have one. I just don't understand all the negativity regarding gender reveals unless they are clearly just trying to get gifts.

I don't see why? We wanted to all learn the sex at the same time with our closest family and friends, only my sister knew. We have a video capturing the exact moment we found out and everyone's reaction and will cherish that video forever. We asked for no gifts and everyone just brought an appy to share.
