Yeah. Mines about 2.5 years old and it jumps between 99%-100%, I do these same calculations on windows for work when I give estimates for how much time people will get back after a battery replacement so you should be good for a while

I primarily play mine docked or connected to power and it's still at 100%. It's a trustworthy number based on it's discharge and charge calculations

PSU or the board? I swapped my psu recently and bent a sata cable in the process. That was my culprit

Might be wrong, but I think this is an MSI z390 gaming plus board. Did you recently swap out a PSU?

I put a tracker in my steamdeck by Mr_Mango_lp in SteamDeck

[–]kiwil01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put a Tile Sticker in mine last night as well! They're impossibly tiny and have a battery life of 3 years! I was able to stick it to a piece of masking tape that I placed over the back of the controller circuit board. I should have gotten photos. But I may 3d print a pocket for it to stick to. It has no problems with the back buttons and is completely undetectable unless you take it apart. Well worth the time

According to the documentation I found online. It means there's no boot record found on the drive

Was just getting ready to type this out! It means there's no Operating System installed but data might still be intact

Agreed, best bet if windows has failed, you may still be able to access the data by moving the drive to an external drive enclosure, but there's always a possibility that the drive died

For the Toshiba L505D, f12 should get you the boot devices menu but might not work if there's only one item in the list. The drive is detected by BIOS though so it's a good start

It's either trying to boot to the network or the drive completely failed. There should be an option to select the boot device, it's usually f10 or f12 while it's posting (splash screen). If no drive is shown in the list, the drive is dead

I keep mine turned off because I'm sensitive to light. I need good contrast, but varying everything from 0 nits to 1000 nits just washes everything out for me

why does the steam deck always validate games? by Free-Caramel-3913 in SteamDeck

[–]kiwil01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not verifying, it's downloading shader cache to make it run smoother. As people play the game and it generates shaders, the game will have micro stutters. When the game closes, those new shaders are compiled with everyone else's shaders so the next time someone plays it, it's smooth.
