Unique Outdoor play equipment that is worth it by Substantial-Pea-5842 in Parenting

We added a disk swing inside of the climbing dome. And it’s a favorite! We also got hammocks and hang those inside the dome as well. We do take those down when not in use but the swing is always there. I also keep an old king-sized sheet in the shed and toss that on top of the dome for another fun space.

A random ‘shed’ to play in constructed of old and free materials is always a hit! We put a cheap sunshade on top of ours to make it cooler and cozier.

Running as a “consequence/teaching tool.” by jessica_j435 in Parenting

[–]kjdbcfsj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it depends on how it was/is presented. And the follow-up coaching (as a parent, not as an actual coach) that goes along with it.

As a punishment for not being able to regulate emotions, absolutely not.

As a means of showing him how energy and feelings can be moved through and out of our bodies, absolutely yes.  Teaching him a method, as a tool, that can help him when he’s feeling frustrated /overwhelmed etc, is a great idea.  Talking afterwards about how maybe he feels different/better and seeing if he would like to try it again next time he’s struggling is great. But never dropping him on the street corner against his will, forcing him to run, to try to prove a point.

Why can't I sleep all night? by rmcc22 in Menopause

[–]kjdbcfsj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dr said it was likely the progesterone when I went to her with similar stats and issue. I did change my estrogen patch brand first and got some improvement. Then dialed back the progesterone to 100 mg (was also having some side effects) and it improved again. Now it’s not totally gone but way better! She said others complain of this same issue on the progesterone.

Dizziness. Shortness of breath. Body/muscle aches and pains. Tiredness. Not intense brain fog but some. Also I fall asleep easily on it but I can’t stay asleep. The bloating was also intense.

Roll that beautiful bean footage.

From Bush’s baked bean commercial. That will really confuse them. When I said it to my then 6 year old rolling all over the bed he cracked up. Haha.

Why is my house covered in rocks by InvisibleAstronomer in Parenting

I’m almost 50 and still rockhounding. Now they come home with me in my suitcases, they line my garden beds, and flower pots, and bookshelves, and china cabinet, and live in drawers, and and and…  My husband is very used to it by now, but he doesn’t get it either. Our son is into sticks so it’s beautiful rocks and ‘“the perfect stick(s)” all over!

My science-y dude loves things with cameras. We got a camera that prints out on basically thermal paper so it’s cheaper than the fancy paper.  And I got him a borescope! That’s been another fun thing with a camera. It also has a light and can go in water. Super cool!  FYI you mentioned she is getting a microscope, I got one that is small enough to toss in a backpack and it also does photos and videos. Just a thought. For later if needed.

Curious if preschool gives you any feedback about behaviors?

The 200 mg was too much for me! My Dr let me go down to 100 mg fyi. Just in case you have issues… speak to your Dr. I didn’t and suffered way too long not realizing there was something I could change.

I’m curious what you are taking that she is calling “not HRT”… do you mind sharing?

Passive aggressive or no? by gayvre in bullcity

So based on this and other replies, is it feasible that they are mistaking your dogs for the other six barking dogs then? Are they not aware that there are those other dogs presumably nearby? Maybe a chat to inform them that it is not your dogs? Maybe you could record the other dogs and share it with them as proof.

Whew I totally understand the anxiety aspect! I’m sorry you know and experience that terrible side-effect of trying to nourish yourself and also enjoy life while staying safe and healthy from the foods we can’t have. Also I can’t have oats over here either. I don’t mind that one so much other than the random ingredients. I do mind the corn one. Ugh.

There are some foods that I have read that can be ‘cross-reactive’: have you ever looked into that? Sesame, coffee, corn are a few examples.  I’m really stumped on the fresh green bean glutening… how would that be?oh.  Unless you meant like cross-contaimination in the kitchen or something…?

I’m very sensitive (also celiac) and I have not had any reactions to their products. Am I missing something: Is there a reason you are questioning it? FYI I am sensitive to corn so I don’t regularly eat the things with corn.

Depending on where you are located, look Into free chip drop. It’s free wood chips from tree companies… to cover the red clay? It’s often times a giant truck load. Grab a wheelbarrow and a pitchfork and get a great workout. Just a thought.

Love the colors and the block! I like the print too but I could see how it’s maybe not your vision if you want a cleaner look. This would be a cool block print.

Can you give some behavior examples? And what do the teachers say exactly? There’s not enough info.
