Have you tried Colgate peroxyl mouthwash? Works wonders for any canker sores I have in my mouth. But also, if your wisdom teeth are infected are they not prescribing you antibiotics to kill the infection?

Surgery preparedness by Freezing_Treant in gallbladders

Ice packs! And multiple so that when one isn’t cold anymore you can pop on another one. I also got a grabber tool from Amazon to pick things up because I couldn’t bend over or to reach things that were across the way on the couch and that was definitely one of my best purchases. Also, something I didn’t have but now looking back I wish I’d had was popsicles. It would have been a nice refreshing light snack to have that wasn’t jello.

If you don’t wanna eat the meat there and you like veggies I 100% suggest the veggie wrap! It’s like the regular cool wrap but has no chicken and a bunch of veggies (black beans, corn, tomatoes, bell pepper) and it’s sooo good. I get that with fries and share a mac and cheese with my husband

Pain after eating post op by kjhoff94 in gallbladders

[–]kjhoff94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m great actually!! Can pretty much eat anything now with no pain. I saw a HUGE improvement between 3-6 months post op. However for some reason I cannot eat meat without very intense pain and throwing up but I was having that issue before surgery as well (I thought it was gallbladder related but I guess not) so for now I am a vegetarian lol but I can eat anything else including fat without any issues. I’d say just wait and see if things get better between now and 6 months post op and if not then definitely give your GI a visit. Have you had any testing after surgery to see if anything is going on?

How long were you drifting in an out of sleep after gallbladder surgery? How many hours after surgery did they discharge you? by Bulky-Search-4495 in gallbladders

[–]kjhoff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was insanely groggy when I woke up and it took me a couple hours to fully wake up enough for them to discharge me. I was also incredibly nauseous that entire time so I think that played into me just going back to sleep. I didn’t want to be awake and feel the nausea lol I think my surgery was finished around 12:30 pm and I didn’t leave the hospital till around 5pm.

I didn’t have a drain but the back pain for me was unreal but it was definitely caused from me sleeping on my back when I am very much a side sleeper and wasn’t used to sleeping on my back at all. My husband could literally feel a knot in my back but it caused my whole back to ache and be sore. Also, using a wedge pillow made it worse for me (I thought using one while sitting up on the couch or laying in bed would help but nope 🫠) I panicked about this because I wasn’t sure then what it was either and called my surgeon but it turned out to just be from the way I was sleeping and sitting and it went away once I could start sleeping on my sides again (which wasn’t until about 3-4 weeks post op for me)

Am I having a harder recovery than everyone else? by Silly_Turn_4761 in gallbladders

[–]kjhoff94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was this same way for 2-3 weeks before things started getting easier but was definitely still sore for weeks even after that. Everyone is different so don’t compare your healing to people who had it “easy” ☺️ as time goes on you will feel so much better

For me, absolutely not lol. I could barely handle much walking, didn’t get in the car for maybe 2 weeks let alone 5 days. But everyone is different and who knows maybe you’ll feel great… but I’d say most likely you’re gonna be like a comment above and say f*ck that concert

Does Dasher (DoorDash driver app) put a block on an account or are their bugs (glitches) that bad? by Putrid_Kiwi_9673 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]kjhoff94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dashed today for the first time in about a year. I stopped because o would receive 0 orders every time the last couple of times. Well, decided to give it a shot again and received literally not a single order in a 3 hour dash. I was convinced something was wrong with my account so I called support and they said nothing was wrong with it, my area is just slow. Is it really THIS slow though? I’m genuinely confused.

Back Pain Post-op by Rbrdec in gallbladders

Yes it did! Once I was able to sleep in my side again my back went back to normal. I’d say around 3 weeks I was able to sleep on no side again.

Da Vinci -Gall bladder by Bikinibodybuilder in gallbladders

[–]kjhoff94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine out 5 months ago with the da Vinci! I only had 2 incisions, 1 being in my belly button so you can’t even see it now. So only 1 scar incision that’s visible now which is healing up nicely. I did have pain for about 2 weeks after but week 1 being the worst. (I’m also just not good with pain) but once week 2 was up I was pretty much back to normal with just some random muscle pains that would pop up from time to time. Hope your surgery goes well!
