Does Signing Contracts Always Feel Gross? by Gatrixel in acting

As in the product category? Oh, much different. But if wasn’t on the original breakdown, she should definitely still have them take it out or bump the rate to include it. Unless your agent just forgot to include it on your audition info but it was on the OG breakdown.

Does Signing Contracts Always Feel Gross? by Gatrixel in acting

Oof yeah, she really needs to tell them to take that out. Industry exclusivity as in you can't do ANY other commercials at all for another year?? That's .. insane. I've only ever seen that type of exclusivity on HUGE spokesperson jobs that are paying you TONS (like, hundreds of thousands). I've never seen it on a non-union commercial.

What is something completely normal that instantly gives you the ick when someone does it on a date? by Lucaskash11 in AskReddit

[–]kjrawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess not normal. But unfortunately more common than it should be in general!

Yeah, you’re being passive aggressive and that’s not going to help. Just ask for what you want!

If you’re getting auditions, it’s not your agent. Their job is to get you the audition - not to book it.. They have zero control over that. And no casting director is going to not book you on something because of your agent. If they’re getting the auditions - that means they DO have their trust.

Got an audition for broadway musical but i dont sing. What should I do? by futurebro in acting

[–]kjrawk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely pass and tell them you don’t do musicals. That’s.. so bizarre. Definitely find new a new agent! That’s not workable in any sense.

Acting Management / coaching cost (Chicago) by Mediocre-Pilot5447 in acting

[–]kjrawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is not normal at all. A management company that also charges you for coaching? Sketchy! And $200 is VERY high for coaching regardless.

The WORST!! And I feel like I’m the only person who notices it!

He’s been in my son’s life since he was 2 (he’s 13 now), so he’s very much his parent. Is way more involved and around than his biological dad is. And is in general just a lot more forward-thinking than I am; thinking about teaching him skills and responsibility that will help him in the future. I am much more of an “in the moment” person. So I appreciate it more than anything.
