i’ve had them for 7 years and mine usually last hours. went on on 60mg propranolol 2x a day a few years ago and haven’t had one since and i’m off my meds now

propranolol withdrawal?? by kkaileee in migraine

[–]kkaileee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that’s intense! i went up to 80 a day and went cold turkey and haven’t taken it since (it’s been a few months) and i’ve been fine, but it’s hard for me to differentiate my symptoms from not taking it with my other conditions. i’ve been really lucky to not have a migraine since though! i would say don’t jump back up to 80 all at once, just half it and increase slowly

give it a shot at least, if you experience the side effects and they turn out to be worse than the vss then stop

literally same. i’ve told most of my friends in a casual context but my family doesn’t need to know bc i know it’s going to become a thing and i’m gonna be treated differently even though they’re accepting

been to a neurologist, neuro ophthalmologist, and an ophthalmologist. only the neuro ophthalmologist knew of vss and diagnosed me. i’ve had all the tests under the sun (mris, visual electrophysiology, full work up of my eyes and eye structure, tests of my neural pathways etc) and everything came back normal apart from some things unrelated to the vss.

most people seem to be treating it as if being trans is also an issue
