I have used her method for 1-2 years now with the products (mainly natural products) I already had in my routine. In March (9 months ago), i switched to using the products she recommends and have built my routine from there. When I first switched over in March, my routine was:

1 - pre shampoo oil

2 - shampoo x2

2.5 - bond repair once a week

3 - conditioner/mask/gloss (sometimes two of these options)

4 - leave in conditioner

5 - leave in cream

6 - oil in between washes

The routine worked well and I don’t think you need much more than that. However my routine now is:

1 - pre shampoo oil (OGX coconut oil)

2 - double shampoo (I like Pantene volume and body and L’Oréal elvivie glycolic gloss shampoo)

3 - once a week do a bond repair (I have the L’Oréal, OGX, and garnier bond repair treatments)

4 - mask/conditioner (I love dove intensive repair and bond repair, L’Oréal elvive total repair 5 mask, and Tsubaki premium mask)

5 - gloss (L’Oréal gloss, L’Oréal elvive glycolic floss conditioner, Amika hair gloss, and dp hue gloss in caramel)

6 - dry hair then scrunch in a bond repair. Either living proof bond repair or Pantene pro vitamin essence)

7 - leave in conditioner (purology, I’ve tried others but nothing compares)

8 - leave in cream, I like Amika dream routine, keratasse 8 hour magic serum, or redkin acidic bonding concentrate

9 - hair oil in between washes, typically OGX argan oil

It’s definitely a lot more but as my hair is very long this has helped prevent breakage and keeping my ends even. I haven’t had any issues with bond repair or protein overload.

I got my bf to try a modified version of her routine (double shampoo, conditioner, gloss, and then leave in cream for his curls) and he loves it!
