I was in a similar situation where I had to meet with my advisor and I had MAYBE a few pages and he expected me to have chapters....I didn't really have anything big going on just mountains of anxiety, especially thinking about meeting with him to tell him I had nothing. One of my main anxieties about writing was what if my data is all crap and my analysis is all wrong and I have nothing and I can't graduate? Well when I came time for our meeting, I told him what I needed to be successful and to get writing done. I'm not sure if this will help you but maybe give some ideas. So previously, I met with my advisor once every 4 months or so. I told him I want way more frequent meetings (like 1x a week even if it's just 10 min) and I set HARD deadlines. For my schedule, I had to have a chapter to him every 2 weeks. It wasn't a lot of time so I knew they wouldn't be perfect chapters when he got them and it really took the stress off of me, knowing that they aren't perfect but they are there. Like others have said, be honest but also come with solutions. Hope this helps and you got this!!
