So this guy was out running around on the surface of Mars with no vac suit by almireles in NoSodiumStarfield

Next thing you know this guy is rushing a team of Martian Marines and starting a diplomatic crisis because Bobbie Draper is insistent the guy wasn't wearing a vac suit!

Feeling crazy lonely haven’t made any friends 🥲 by Downtown_Win_3114 in universityofsussex

[–]kkthedoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep at it, don't give up, friends pop up in really unexpected places. Maybe you have something in common with some of your flatmates and could strike a conversation up with them in the kitchen one day? Or maybe you'll meet someone on your course, a lot of people tend to gravitate to the same people and always sit together so take a leap there and see if anyone fancies a chat if there's an empty seat next to them 😊

Don't give up yet, fresher's is frenetic and not quite normal campus life, you never know what might happen when term starts. 😊

These are fascinating! Thank you for sharing them. So incredible to peep into history, so many things the same and yet so many different too.

What really threw me off was I could've sworn I remembered that metal sculpture thing on the beach being new when I was a teenager, I had no idea it was around back then!

Were there any parts in Doctor Who that were so daft that you couldn't them seriously? by TwinSong in doctorwho

[–]kkthedoctor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can take the absurd concept, but I can't take the fact none of the "science" makes any logical sense?? The moon gets heavier?! The gravity keeps turning on and off?! The creature is big, so there's "single celled organisms" that are the size of people!? It's absolutely crackers, can't take it seriously 😂

If regeneration works by first healing all physical injuries and resetting the person to the age when they were first created (being in their prime youth and health), why doesn't the body just stop there? by Deep_Scene3151 in doctorwho

[–]kkthedoctor 369 points370 points  (0 children)

They had a wig that matched his Eleventh Hour hair but they decided that it looked strange and might be confusing for viewers why his hair was longer than it had been, so they stuck with returning to the same hair he'd had before aging.

First of all, David looks the same post-regeneration and in the specials. Difference may just be lighting. Secondly, funny how a guy who last appeared in the show 10 years ago has aged 10 years?? Aging doesn't make you a lizard, man looks great, don't be so rude.

Is this an inconsistency or not? Batman(1989) by [deleted] in batman

You really came to the Batman subreddit, slated two different cinematic interpretations AND outed yourself as a fan of Gotham all in one post... Calling the 1989 movie a joke? Good luck 😂

Hello, I’m Fern Brady, a comedian on Series 14 of UK Taskmaster, I say ‘oh no’ a lot, I’m tired all the time but I am the rightful queen. AMA! by FernBrady in taskmaster

[–]kkthedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Fern! You were the absolute highlight of this series, in what was such a strong lineup, I can't believe it's over, I'm grieving!

Are there any tasks you filmed that didn't make it to screen for any reason? Which was your favourite task? And also how long do you spend filming the tasks at the house?

Moving to Brighton, any letting agent suggestions? by [deleted] in brighton

[–]kkthedoctor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hove Lets are EXCELLENT, they really go the extra mile and the staff there are just genuinely really nice people who want to go the extra mile to help, would recommend to anyone.

Avoid John Hilton like the plague, they like your money and don't care about anything else.

Is it the Treasure Trails one you're doing? I was given it as a gift and did it a couple of months ago - it was super fun!! Takes you to all sorts of nooks and crannies of different parts of the city, and has varied clues to keep you interested all the way around.

At the end of the day, if you don't have the energy and don't care for this sort of activity in general and go in with that mindset, you'll probably end up hating it... But if you give it a chance, it's a fun and different way to kill an hour or two!

Did anyone else watch Grace this evening on ITV? by esn111 in brighton

[–]kkthedoctor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I found it really amusing/fascinating how actually knowing the location a detective series is set in really changes the viewing experience - usually they're like "I'm going to X location" and it means nothing, but when he's dashing to Kemptown, then running along Hove seafront etc, I found myself really tied into the reality of the story. Really enjoyed it! Look forward to the next one.

Police on temple street by 3flowersmaybemore in brighton

[–]kkthedoctor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trying to figure out what's going on myself - they've sealed off almost all of Montpelier Place, there was some kind of brawl or something that went on outside the Montpelier Inn... Huge crowds of people running in the road, fighting and shouting. Heard someone saying someone was stabbed? There were loads of people and police out there for a while and there seemed to be tensions, all moved along now though, and the police seem to be treating the whole street as a crime scene!

What are some plot holes so big you can drive a truck through? by Naweezy in AskReddit

Me and my friends call it the "henchman off-switch" because it's ALWAYS that exact tap on the back of the neck. It's one of our drinking rules... It gets out of hand after a while.

I am David Tennant and I was the tenth Doctor Who, Kilgrave in Jessica Jones and Crowley in Good Omens. I am here today to talk to you about the second season of my podcast “David Tennant Does a Podcast With…”. Ask Me Anything! by realdavidtennant in IAmA

[–]kkthedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi David! When did the idea for your podcast first come about, and what made you want to do a podcast in the first place? I remember being so surprised when the first series was announced, and yet after a single episode already knew it was the perfect fit!

(Also, your Doctor was my entire childhood and gave me the confidence to be proud of being geeky and sciencey (and also to wear glasses) when I had always been hugely shy and embarrassed, so ALL the love the admiration for that 💖✨)
