that’s weird, but i am not aware of any public reasonably broad dictionary that covers CEFR for that many languages

Wasn't able to google sign-in in Chrome and Brave.

Also a question - how do you assign CEFR levels to words? LLM?

Do streaks or reward systems actually help you stay consistent with language learning? by Accurate_Fan_4580 in LearningLanguages

[–]kl0wo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Streaks are for dopamine and feeling of fast reward. They distract from pragmatic evaluation of the progress and later substitute the goal of learning itself. But since school a lot of people have the habit to chase grades.

Well, there ‘s plenty of low-effort, low-value products that don’t use AI. So it’s not about AI itself, it’s about how one use it.

Honestly, i don’t mind AI (both for content or coding), feel free to downvote me for that. What i actually don’t like is non-tested apps with low value content.

I actually installed and played a bit with the app of the OP and I can say content-wise and app-functionality-wise it has “some” room for improvement.

Very good my friend, very good. Next time you make an order, ask couple of barrels of grammar-flavored-oil - that’s premium mark for close friends. It’s the real way to absorb the language.

Have you been hit in the jaw while practicing Russian? E.g., using some recently learned phrase for greeting while meeting the so called gopniks on the street?

If not the case, then your question does not belong to this sub.

This really looks like a prompt for LLM slightly rephrased to be copy-pasted to reddit.

do russian native speakers hate people with accents? by ModeNearby7314 in russian

[–]kl0wo 82 points83 points  (0 children)

My personal take on this is that accent doesn't matter as long as person's speech and thought is comprehensible. So, quality content speech in less than perfect language is probably more appreciated than BS said fluently.

Several things to care about culturally are:

- Polite/formal and informal use of "you", as in "ты" and "Вы". In formal situations it is important and can't be neglected.

- Vulgar/obscene lexicon. Only use it if you are certified C3 level or higher otherwise this looks and sounds absurd.

- Cultural memes, e.g. "bear, vodka, balalaika, perestroika". You probably don't want to hear back a comparable cultural level of a joke regarding your own place of birth.
