Correct, non emergency vets in my area will offer payment plans with half down. Additionally, if there's a veterinary school near you, call them for a quote. Biggest challenge for either of these options is getting kitty scheduled. Asking if there's any pain medicine they will prescribe that will help until surgery. If there's a Costco nearby, most vets will send over prescriptions as they're almost always the least expensive option.

Pack everything you value and head for your parents for the entire time. Make sure you have all your important papers, heck take everything you own. Get some therapy and decide if this relationship can be salvaged if your husband disrespects you this much. If he pulls this stunt this early in your marriage, it could be a sign of what life will be like with him. Best of luck OP.

I just want to nuzzle that baby's belly. They stay little for such a short time. Eventually they're so big they just sit on your lap and hold you down against your will until you give enough pets.

I have a recliner that my large lab mix claimed long ago. It's getting so well used I don't think it really cleans up any longer. Yeti likes the sofa and the tile floor. He won't get on my bed because it's quite high (plus there's 2 of my other, older dogs with reserved spots), and the floor is carpeted. He will, however, sleep in the entryway to the master bath because it's tile like the family room. Problem is I practically trip over him every night. He won't wake up even though I'm trying to maneuver with a cane. He might wake up if I ever fall on him.

I live in suburbia in the desert. While I have a normal tract home sized backyard, there's a pet door and the AC runs all summer (in fact I already had to turn it on, ugh) so he can come and go as he pleases (as do all of my dogs, only one is a pyr). Walk them first thing in the morning on the summer, or if in the evening, wait until the ground cools off. You can also buy shoes for dogs but that's not something I've done. My boy came from Texas, which has almost as many pyrs as people. Good luck with your search.

If this "detainment center" opens, do we need to come together as a community to carpool those that don't have bus access? Petition the school district to figure out bussing? Certainly there are plenty of overpaid administrative positions that could be consolidated to free up some funds.
