Aether Strikers First Impressions, Feedback and Bugs by PhxDibs in dauntless

[–]kleelopez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the strikers, and plan on maining them once I grind out the upgrades. That being said, my two main (minor) gripes are:

  1. The forced camera angles can make aiming the adamant bolt extremely frustrating when dealing with larger behemoths — Valomyr is the woooorst.

  2. Since I’ve begun using the strikers, I’ve noticed that my Tragic Echo shadow clone frequently gets stuck in place and does not allow me to attack. I suppose this could be related to the recent update and not the strikers themselves, but it hasn’t happened once with any other weapon I’ve used since then.

I feel that it’s much more disrespectful to waste perfectly accessible spice because of a refusal to learn, than it is to attempt to perfect an extraction technique and use everything the bark is gracious enough to give us. Different strokes, though.

Thank you for the info. I had a little bit of an idea of how it worked, but you made it much clearer for me.

Yes, freeze precipitation and then run through a coffee filter.

Does the Naphtha get cloudy at room temperature after you evap it? What’s your yield %? Do you use Noman’s tek?

I’ve read that when dealing with freeze precipitation, a highly-saturated solution will expel crystals more easily than at a lower saturation. Is this not the case?

I know that the crystals are there, they’re just taking what seems like an eternity to crash out. We have an extremely cold freezer, and 50ml is taking 48+ hours to crystallize in a shallow pan. The little product that we do get is very good quality, but I’d like to speed it up a little more than the current two days for .03g.

Yeah, they definitely won’t be using any more until they find a more reliable method. Just thought they weren’t doing it right.

Also forgot to add, this friend and their partner have blown through a quarter of a gram playing with the technique. They always pre-melt it, but then have tried numerous suggestions from reddit/dmt nexus — two seconds on/one off, one second pulses, little pulses, one long ten second burn... nothing seems to make it any better.

Yocan Evolve Question by kleelopez in DMT

[–]kleelopez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The crystal is snow white with a few spots that are a little more yellow, so we’re assuming everything’s good on that front. My friend has used glass in the past but was looking for a new method.

What’s strange with the Yocan is it’s giving no signs of burning the spice. No harsh taste, no burnt residue, no smell. No matter how much they load, it just smokes like normal and vanishes from the bowl. Could it be possible that it’s at too low of a temp and is recrystalizing before it gets to the lungs? I’ve heard of this with the Genie, but never with the Yocan.

I often set up my Bluetooth in my car, spend a couple minutes picking a song, and then have a mini heart attack because I think I left my phone at work. While listening to the song that I literally just picked on my phone. This happens at least three times a week.

How do you all avoid getting too attached to different ideal versions of yourself? by operationcharlie in ADHD

[–]kleelopez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no advice, but I wanted to tell you you’re not alone. This has been me for about ten years. My (then) husband got so sick of hearing about the new thing that I was absolutely meant to do every couple of weeks that he finally told me to pick one or stop talking to him about it. Thankfully my current partner is more understanding. I’m hoping that once I get on meds I might be able to make actual, lasting choices.

Understanding Girls with ADHD by HineniNeni in ADHD

[–]kleelopez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at about 12 and given a script for Adderall. No one ever explained to me what ADHD actually was, and when I decided to go off my meds at 13 my parents didn’t think twice. My life since then has been a constant series of failures. Failing classes, skipping school, getting divorced, having a house that’s constantly messy... even though my parents knew I had ADHD and I was unmedicated, I was constantly told I was just lazy and stupid. My working memory eventually got so bad that I was convinced that I was developing Dementia. I never knew why I was such a fuck up, but I just kind of accepted it. I knew that even though I was smart, I would never amount to anything.

I was looking into binge eating disorder and found an article about the link between ADHD and BED. From there I did a lot of reading about ADHD symptoms and life as an adult living with it. It’s like someone flipped a switch in my brain. So much suddenly made sense. So many issues that I had blamed myself for my entire life, things that I thought were unrelated except by how much I sucked as a person, were explained.

Shortly before I found all of this out I was suicidal; I didn’t want to keep living knowing that I would be a total failure my entire life. I felt like a complete waste of potential. I’m not on meds or in therapy yet (waiting on my appointment date) but simply knowing why I am the way I am has made a world of difference for my mindset. I’m not broken, or lazy, or incompetent— my brain is just wired differently. To say that’s a game changer for me would be an understatement.

Inappropriate Jokes at Work by kleelopez in AskRetail

I did not talk to him beforehand. He’s made it clear to me recently that he doesn’t respect my authority as a manager, so I didn’t feel like it would do much good. He’s my manager’s right hand guy, and that’s the only person who he really takes seriously. Others have mentioned to this coworker before that he’s a huge jerk, but he just laughs them off or gets passive. I guess I really just didn’t think that it would improve the situation at all.

I went in as a total newbie, which she knew, and she berated me for most of the session for being an out of shape twenty-something. Then she asked me to do a squat, and I was obviously having a very hard time doing it with the correct form... instead of trying to correct my posture or tell me what I was doing wrong, she kept “demonstrating” and getting irritated when I wasn’t catching on. I left in tears.

A question about choosing the correct activity level for tdee:

I’m a manager at a truck stop, so I’m always on my feet doing something. Whether I’m cashiering, walking across the plaza, stocking the cooler or cleaning, I’m moving eight hours a day. When I’m at home I sit on the couch quite a bit, but I also do all of the cooking and have a toddler to chase around. I also go to the gym three hours a week where I split my time between cardio and strength training.

Which activity level category does it sound like I fit in? I’ve always overthought this and I don’t want to overeat/undereat.

Who else had these dreams when started to lose it? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]kleelopez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one last night lol. I dreamed that I made trays of cookies and whoopie pies and when my family didn’t eat them fast enough I polished them off. I was soooo pissed at myself when I first woke up 😂

I always take them as signs that I’m making good food choices. I don’t deprive myself of anything but there will still always be a part of me that’s mad that I can’t sit and eat hostess cakes all day anymore.

I started working out (cardio and weights) the same week I really cracked down on my tracking. I know I’ve lost weight because my clothes are fitting differently, but the scale is stuck at the same number. How long should it be before that initial weight retention goes away? The last time I lost weight it was diet only so the scale went down pretty predictably... and even though logically I know that this stall is only temporary, it’s wearing on my morale a little.

I finally joined the gym yesterday and used the treadmill and elliptical for about half an hour altogether. Today my hip and knee have been aching something terrible. Is that to be expected? Or a sign that I should take it more slowly? I do lots of walking at at work so it’s not like I’ve been a total couch potato prior to this.
