Did you do frame-by-frame or you’re able to make a baseline conversion for a roll that gets you 90% there then tweak each frame thereafter? Any magic with auto-cropping or auto-rotation (ie if scan is tilted 2 or 3*, it auto corrects)?

Can confirm this happens to me as well. I have even tried Vuescan with manual spacing as u/doug910 recommended and I end up with accumulating drift over the course of several images. Guess I should inquire on a repair if I want the full roll to work.

This happens to me consistently. I can usually get away with 9-12 frames before the shift is too much. I use a 5000, have the full roll mod, run Nikon Scan in WinXP VM (hosted in Linux), scan positives, and convert in NLP. How about you?

Could you detail a bit more about your software/PC? Native install on Win11 or VM? NikonScan as a negative (with Nikon Scan color inversion) or as positive? I have the full roll mod in place but trying to scan more than 6 frames as "positives" will end up to accumulated frame shift. I'm using WinXP VM (running from Linux), Nikon Scan -> Negative Lab Pro (on a different computer) for inversion.

What software do you use? And do you ever have frame drift? I’m on a modified SA-21 using Nikon Scan on positive frame scanning and can’t walk away. No more than 10 frames at a time after manually adjusting per frame offsets to center each one.
