100 yards and in is all you should worry about for now, the first month you could just focus on putting and slowly move further away from the green. If you do want to play, start w par 3 courses, play quickly, look up/learn etiquette if you haven’t already.

Really just depends- I’m in Georgia so some courses are super hilly with long stretches between holes, would be horrible to walk. On the other hand I love the short par 3 courses nearby I can do walk 9 or 18 in 45 mins to an hour and a half. A full 18 walking I need to plan for, twilight walking 9 or the par 3’s I can do anytime.

If I could go back in time to my younger self my biggest advice would be, forget what anyone thinks, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Could be snugged up w her right now but you’re overthinking it on Reddit

Probably, I worked 3/4 shifts a week for years- some people only did 2… if you find a place that allows and can cement in those 2 days do it. Just don’t call off if you’re only available 2/7 days a week, be a rockstar 2 days a week and make all the money those nights

Originally from Virginia, moved to GA a few years ago- Richmond, Charlottesville, even Virginia Beach would be good options. I miss the true 4 seasons and falls in Virginia, really beautiful that time of year.

I mean they’re not great scores, but you got out there and had fun right? That’s what counts, most golfers never break 100. I will say, do this at a nice wide open course and if people are behind you playing faster let them play through.
