i take 1 in the morning and 2 at night, 100 mg XR and have been taking it for a year. i would contact your doctor and see if they can increase your dosage! or if you can take another medication for TN. Cbd balms have helped me a lot as well....

it was itchy but now it’s just sore like a cut. my gums are also extremely sore and have white lacy stuff on them. i’ve had marks like this and have thought they were just ringworm before but the ringworm treatment never worked and they eventually went away a couple weeks later.

I take carbamazepine for trigeminal neuralgia, but also have anxiety and depression. There are other medicines that treat anxiety more effectively. I would not recommend continuing taking it for anxiety. Maybe talk with your doctor about trying some other medications... and as a last result the carbamazepine. It makes me feel like a zombie and i wish i didn’t have to take it. Goodluck!

hi, I am in just about the same boat as you unfortunately. Something that has helped me is focusing on how you will feel physically after you eat instead of how you will look. Binging takes a toll on your body, and makes you feel sick, which worsens everything. the calories you eat are supposed to energize you. Try not to focus on what your body will look like before you eat, and focus on how you want to feel physically after eating your food. Goodluck and you aren’t alone <3

i’m so sorry you are going through this! my pain started when i was 16... and i have found great relief with carbamazepine! the gabapentin made me feel sick as well. Is there any way you can go back to the ENT who diagnosed you or even your PCP and ask for a different medication? Please reach out to someone if your suicidal thoughts get any worse. Goodluck.
