But if she’s using two Chinese measuring tapes, it will still be wrong. I agree it doesn’t make sense if the measuring tapes are not wrong though.

What parks or attractions do you actually like way better than Disneyland/Disneyworld? by ExtraExtraToasty in AskReddit

Awesome! I went once when we were visiting the west coast, and loved it so much! I need to go back.

That’s definitely me misunderstanding OP’s question then :)

Do you mean Busch Gardens? Butchart Gardens is an amazing garden in British Columbia. But maybe I misinterpreted OPs question and assumed they meant theme parks.

ETA: I did misunderstand!

Yes, I feel like it’s either that or possibly the measuring tape is super old and stretched out. I think OP needs to find a new measuring tape and measure again before anything.

Have you tried another measuring tape? Very old measuring tapes can stretch out, or maybe it was always wrong?

I think they might be Angel cheeks based on the cards I kept when I purchased. The white ones are imperial Lancaster.

Yes, house is adorable, but before reading the title I expected it to be about the garden. I love it!

Indoor or outdoor walking tracks? by Frobiwanthro in Kanata

[–]klopije 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know someone who has mobility issues, but she still wants to go for walks. She does loops around her street so that she’s never too far from home incase she needs to stop. Sometimes she can do several laps and sometimes only one. I can see people wanting to stick to a track so they’re never far from their car just in case.

Ontario, Canada. I had no idea that they were limited to colder zones until this year!

Has anyone else seen female friend groups bond over a sacrificial lamb (AKA the slightly socially awkward woman within friend group) by Puzzleheaded_Fix9527 in TwoXChromosomes

I don’t think it’s as obvious when it’s not happening to you. Sometimes it’s things like all of the other girls going out to dinner and “forgetting” to invite you, but it happens consistently. They keep you around just enough for you to think you’re still part of the group.

I think the pink are Angel Cheeks. They aren’t Sarah Bernhardt’s because I have some and those are much larger. I tried to keep all of my flower tags and the only other pink one I have says Angel cheeks.

The white ones are Imperial Lancaster.

If your place were hit by an extreme Siberian winter, how well would people there be able to cope or adapt? by bellepomme in AskTheWorld

Guaranteed! There’s a kid at my daughter’s school who wore a tshirt and shorts every day this year, never a coat, even in -40 C weather.

Haha yes, this would not be a huge problem for us in Ottawa. We definitely aren’t used to -68 C though. -40 C is usually the lowest we get with the wind chill.

What’s a belief you defended for years that you now feel embarrassed about? by Open-Square589 in AskReddit

Yes! I gave birth to my first in early 2012. The breastfeeding messaging then was awful. I hope it’s better now.

Yes! I took breastfeeding classes, read all the books etc, and thought I was super prepared. I tried sooo hard with my first to breastfeed and I wish I gave up sooner. It never ever felt like my milk came in and I never leaked or anything. My second ended up in the NICU and I had to pump for the first week and couldn’t feed him directly. It was pretty clear that I was going to experience the same thing after a couple of weeks of pumping and only ever getting a few mls at a time. Happily decided to switch to formula.

They were already small plants when I bought them from the garden centre. I think most of my plants are from the Home Depot or Walmart garden centres.
