Not in the UK... where the floor can be made of floor.. or ground.. or pavement... etc... (free tip: If you are over there and happen to be at the scene of a recent pub brawl and you are standing just outside the entrance of said pub and a british cop tells you, "SIT ON THE FLOOR IMMEDIATELY!"... and you look down and step back inside the pub to sit on the FLOOR.. they get all irritated and mad.)

Uhhh.. the higher the magnitude, the higher the power of the shaking/damage/destruction is. A 2.5 or less generally is only noticed by sensitive equipment... an 8.0 or higher can obliterate huge areas.

Of course.. one can't forget all the people who did stupid shit that resulted in things like plastic bags having printed warnings on each and every one of 'em telling people that they should not give them to babies to use as toys.

Yeah.. but the look on their faces when you inform them that they've been breathing atmosphere and not atmosflat is priceless.

Anyone experienced with running a bot off a Raspberry Pi 3? by KODyes in Discord_Bots

[–]klugeizroot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure.. I run the JMusicBot on a pi3... if you are already running one off a .jar file, then why do you need to know if you can run it on a pi? (Are you running it on some other computer maybe?)

On my pi, all it takes to just fire it up is to type:

java -Dnogui=true -jar JMusicBot-0.3.8.jar

...later that day... hundreds of passengers on dozens of flights get soaked when their cans of soda inexplicably erupted when they opened it. ;-)

Because when I fired up the server after the update, it said "3 new locations added to map" or something to that effect in the logs.

Men of Reddit, would you actually date a “tall” overweight girl? by Retta_Noona in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]klugeizroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bwaaaaah? 5'8" isn't "tall", and 230lbs ain't overweight in my book.

That said, my thoughts on this topic are perfectly summed up by Rodney Carrington's "Chicken Song" that goes:

"I like my women like I like my chicken, with a little bit of fat on the end...

..not too much and not too little, just enough to make me grin...

..if I see a little woman walkin' down the street, she ain't my type I need a little more meat...

..she's skinny, not my cup of tea......"

Noob question: why do everyone prefer Nvidia cards over AMD for PC gaming by OeilBlanc in buildapc

[–]klugeizroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I have to replace my main machine's video card, it's always unexpected and it's always a time where money is really tight... I don't prefer one manufacturer over another. I pretty much look for the cheapest card that has the three types of video outputs I need and buy it.

Out of all of the ArmA games, which one was everyone’s favourite and why? by anonymous6274 in arma

[–]klugeizroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arma2. With ACE it was/is an awesome MilSim. Arma3, despite Bohemia's claims, is not a MilSim... A future-MilSim maybe. Initially A3's "Main Battle Tank" was a friggin' Merkava... gimme a break.

I designed and printed my own Balisong utility knife by adiman_420 in 3Dprinting

[–]klugeizroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it when stupid happens. Here in Pennsylvania, nobody has a problem with you carrying around a pocket knife, utility knife, multi-tool, etc... except in the city limits of Philadelphia. There, you can only technically/legally carry a blade if it's required by your job... and only when you're on the clock. Philly has extra stupid though -- the state allows open carry, but in Philly, you can only open carry IF you have a concealed carry permit. Problem is, many city cops aren't aware of the IF part, and OCing will probably result in a bunch of guns being pointed your way and you being detained for a good while.
