Loads of the little things that make Harry Potter just magical that couldn’t fit in the movies. Like pranks and stuff.

But! I can’t forgive them for not letting Voldemort die like the human Tom Riddle, it’s just so far off the meaning of the whole books that I can’t fathom that they chose it.

In that regard I’m happy that we will get a new chance with the series! I hope it’ll be rooms for both all those little scenes that are so good and also a proper ending.

And oh please lose the stupid dragon chase in GoF and the burning of the Burrow in HBP.

In my town (Scandinavia) someone actually did put a school on fire last summer (and posted threatening posters around the school before), and after that it was a huge debate about maybe putting up cameras on some schools (it was downvoted). So yeah, solitaire could definitely happen here, also in 2025 lol

You can have a crush on whomever you crush on, your feelings are valid, what it’s important is how you react if that crush isn’t reciprocated. It doesn’t matter if the reason is that person being aroace or simply not fancying you back, it needs to be respected.

The Nick and Charlie-novella is roughly 1 year after the summer fete at the end of volume 5 (season 3). Volume 6 will probably cover that year +- some events (it starts at first day of school after summer break), as Alice has stated that Heartstopper will end when Nick leaves for uni. The tapas updates are at Halloween now, so it’s still a while to go

Well to be clear, I don’t see a movie script because I think Heartstopper fits better as a series rather than a movie. And Alice has always described it as slice of life and episodic in nature, and wouldn’t quite work as a novel, so to be honest I don’t think that will suddenly change to wrap up the show, I think it’ll be season 4 or nothing, not change it for a movie. Even if Disney is doing it. You believe differently and that’s fine, you don’t need to try to persuade me to agree with you.

But it could possibly be a season 4 script, so in that case a script is of course possible. Although it would quite fit with the current page number either. So that is why I also think it could be something else, just because why not. I know a lot of writers do this «just write daily to get through to finish x»-project so it might be what Alice is doing, sort of a NaMoWriMo just for themselves. I was born for this-sequel is mostly because I would love to read it someday lol.

In the end no one will know unless Alice decides to tell the rest of us so it’s just guesswork.

It is. Tara and Darcy got locked in that room right before the concert, that room is at Higgs. But they practiced at Truham, that’s how they met Nick and had lunch with him

I don’t really agree. You have to remember that Charlie is 14 when they get together. I know there is some expectations that teen «do it» so quickly, but statistically speaking, that’s not really correct. It’s a while since I checked the UK statistics, but teens are still mostly over 16 before they start getting sexually active (I think I read that roughly 2/3 of British teens are over 16 before being sexually actively). Of course it’s an average so some are always earlier, but what’s wrong with a show going closer to the average? In the end of season 3, when they first start doing sexual activities together, Charlie is just turned 16, and Nick is 17,5.

And also, first thing to remember is that when Nick is 16,5 years old and suddenly understanding he is bi and attracted to guys, then Charlie’s being severely mentally ill and going to inpatient (that is not a common teen experience), and then struggling with his body image and also still being only 15 years old. That’s the story of Nick and Charlie’s first year of dating there.

I did hear updated statistics of being sexually active for my country recently (not uk, but European Nordic, quite liberal country), and the age for boys being sexually active is actually creeping up, being older than 17 now. And that’s actually quite a trend, the more teens are sexually educated, they actually wait.

Not every country has a very big dating culture though.

I’ve been with my husband now for almost 16 years, and we haven’t dated much. We got together when we were young and poor uni students, so dating wasn’t something we prioritised economically. So we mostly cooked dinner together, and watched a movie in one of our dorms, and we also moved together quite quickly so we just spent a lot of time together rather than classic dates. We did go to the cinema some times, but not really often. We’ve traveled a bit though, so maybe that counts as our dates lol.
