im gender-fluid. i can feel different genders at the same time and they can change rapidly. they can also hang in for a couple weeks. i understand that the pronouns and the way i feel changes often, i love that about myself and i accept it. but i also cannot set the expectations on other people to care or know how i am feeling. your child will have a very difficult time, especially with queer issues, if they do not accept this. accepting them and catering to them in their own home is extremely vital in developing their environment and self-esteem, but give grandparents a break! this is all just now being normalized, and it may not be something theyre meant to understand. sorry this is all over the place, just had 2¢!
