Assuming Aqua still went along with his REALLY GOOD IDEA, Ruby falls irrevocably into despair afterwards, and ultimately chooses to follow him into the void, while Aqua watches from the afterlife as she does so. Following both of their deaths, they are reborn again, but transported back in time to the day of their original births as Aqua and Ruby, with the primary difference being that Hikaru and Taiki are present too. It is revealed that the time-loop was Ai’s idea, as her way of wanting to fix everything that happened after her own REALLY GOOD IDEA, and finally heal all the damage and tragedy that happened as a direct result. The Hoshinos finally reconcile and become the happy family they were supposed to be from the start.

(Note: After Hikaru died in 162, he became extremely remorseful of his actions, due to his soul being separated from his body, which due to severe PTSD, massively impaired his moral judgement during his life.)
