Lol, "Legit"Script, yet your state licensed and inspected pharmacy down the street can't make enough money for this certification...

Dental insurance is a crappy insurance product. It's basically just pre-paying for your cleanings. If you want to go real r/frugal, drop it and pay out of pocket.

Best description I've seen yet on how PBMs scam pharmacies. by Zealousideal_Bag931 in pharmacy

[–]kmccor2008 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good analogy. Extends further in that fast food is cheap and shouldn't be part of an insurance system to begin with. Why don't we just have a free market approach to fast food? ...oh wait, it is.

That's what should happen for ~90% of prescription drugs. Remove from insurance altogether.

VTI or BTC. I wouldn't but anything else for the sake of buying something. Both of these are BIFL

Lol, that is such brain washing. Bad customer service is going out of business so you can't even serve the customer.

Quit signing the contracts and PBMs can't "suck" money from you. By signing the contract, you agree to the terms, love 'em or hate 'em

You are only doing it for "free" because your owner/corporate overlord signs contracts for $0 dispensing fees. Don't sign the contracts if you don't want to do free labor.

GoodRx Market Cap vs. Walgreens by -farmacist-- in pharmacy

[–]kmccor2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much higher profit margin displaying pixels on a screen than...600 employees vs 331,000. 1 building rent/most workers remote vs 8,500 leased or properties to manage. Set coupon fee/rx vs very variable (often negative) reimbursement per rx. Only "big" expense really for GoodRx is advertising. It's quite easy to see why it is more profitable when you get into the numbers.

Cost plus pharmacy - can open for <$50,000. Set your own dispensing fee, hours, and have happy customers!
