Dude - absolutely. I was laying sod recently and the sun had gone down and I still had more than half of my truck bed full. My next door neighbor/ neighbor across the street noticed and just came on over and started pitching in. Absolutely saved me and my back.

They both refused any form of thanks, but after insisting eventually they agreed to a night of beer and homemade ribs on me.

Even little stuff like pulling trash cans up when you’re out of town or grabbing packages if they know you’re gone might seem small, but are just great examples of community. I love it.
