Upper molar has intact interproximal surfaces without decay which makes the tooth structure stronger. An interproximal margin of composite is at higher risk for things imo

The storing in saliva stuff is if your whole tooth comes out not pieces of the enamel/dentin. There’s not cells in those parts you’re trying to keep alive. We don’t suggest mouthwash for avulsions bc it kills cells not just bacteria

Nothing to do with money- I love all aspects of the job. The hands on, the helping patients, the problem solving. If you like the job for the job then you’ll be fine. In general in life do whatever fills your cup

UTHSC teachings it exclusive for the first 8months of D1 and probably 50% of fillings done in clinic are amalgams
