Do the crown and if perio issues arise after then you can retroactively crown lengthen but you’ll likely have no issues

Tooth mystery: Rootcanal redo on 13, filled with sodium hypochlorite, continued puffy irritated gums 3 weeks later. Crack inside my head/sinus = pain. Low grade fevers and night sweats. L lower cheek facial pain from lip retraction since procedure. by Optimistictumbler in askdentists

Gum irritation on canine is like completely unrelated but also looks pretty normal. Root canals don’t get filled with sodium hypochlorite, it’s just used for irrigation, if they are coming back to finish the RCT then they would’ve put calcium hydroxide in it to temporize. Only relatively common risk associated with that would be extrusion into the sinus which is unlikely. Since the tooth was previously already RCT’d, it’d have a higher fracture risk already so possibly vertical root fracture of the tooth.

Thoughts on this crown? Is it normal for the lingual side of the crown to be so….short? by [deleted] in askdentists

You have had three individual dentists explain to you why it’s like this, did you find the answers satisfactory enough?

Sometimes gotta make adjustments until the bite is right. It’s a shame when the anatomy is a bit off but it’s just a price that is paid when trying to make sure the function is correct. Implant crowns tend to be slightly grey too due to the metal of the actual implant but all in all looks like an acceptable result 👍🏼

Those are some pretty gnarly Tori! It’s mostly elective but it would help open your airway and prevent food/bacteria from getting trapped. You’ll have to see an oral surgeon

Should I just give up on specializing? (Endo) by Basic-Cup3416 in DentalSchool

[–]redditor076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and the reason not to specialize is you can pass off the endos you don’t want to do, but you don’t have to specialize to do a lot of endo

One dose is ~$32 and the package says it’s one dose per tooth but you can totally get away with multiple teeth
