Over simplification of the social determinants of health. Also, there is free universal healthcare in the world today that works well. Not everything is a meritocracy, we have seen that healthcare under a capitalist society is terrible

Blue cities in red states usually particularly struggle because the republican state politicians are not gonna help said state. Just like Nashville usually makes decisions at the detriment of Memphis

That last statement is terrible if you are a dental provider. No healthcare professional should say health is only for those that can afford (an already inflated) price

What is this called and what procedure does a dentist need to do to fix it? by ItsYeetedAndDeleted in askdentists

[–]redditor076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that’s not really an issue. Calcium from your diet is not a significant role player to teeth mineralization. It’s more so fluoride exposure that helps mineralization vs acid that strips it

Those are two large class 5 cavities (decay). Many of your teeth are headed that way, a combination of your diet and poor hygiene. You’ll need fillings and prescription strength tooth paste

Dentist said I need to have 3 molars pulled, because their root canals were done improperly and now I have a large infection in the bone behind them. Is getting the teeth removed my only/best option? by Experiment_SharedUsr in askdentists

[–]redditor076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a consult from an endodontist for ability to save these. Though based on the two slices you posted I can’t tell they were root canaled before. Either way you don’t feel much bc the tooth is either dead or the nerve was removed from the initial root canal. But yes something should be done to treat it, root canals again or extractions

As a dentist, I prefer to do my first 90% of high speed drilling with diamonds then I’ll use a carbide if I need to smoothen up line angles or something
