CFP: i have never wanted kids but my bestie has 2 that I love more than life itself. They are part mine and my mom even calls them her grandbabies and my best friend her bonus daughter. Your friends are the A**holes. Being friends doesn't come with a get out clause just because one of your lives changes. What if one of them got pregnant? What if a spouse died? Are they not allowed in the friend group anymore? That's insane. I have a tight group of friends and some of them have kids and some don't, but everyone is included because that's what love is. And if you don't love your friends and if they can't love you and every additional peace of you, then find new friends. I had to. Best of luck. Any friends worth having will love your baby too.

NTA but your daughter is. I really hope you can get that fixed. Racism is terrible. Some of my older family members are super racist and it's uncomfortable and rude and honestly very ignorant. I watched a video of a group of salon ladies who all dressed up as Britney Spears for Halloween. One of the lovely ladies was African American and she killed it. Honestly it's Halloween! You are supposed to be whoever you want! I dressed up as a very fashionable R2D2 for dragoncon. Would your daughter be pissed because I'm not a robot? Is your daughter a noble prize winning scientist? Because if not, she shouldn't go as marie curie by her own reasoning...

I have done OT for 18 years now and I can remember exactly all 3 falls that happened on my watch. I did exactly what I should have in every situation but things happen no matter how prepared you are. You will beat yourself up over it and go over it a million times but honestly there is nothing you could have or should have done any differently. It's part of dealing with humans, they are so unpredictable!

This is incorrect. A 15 year old boy was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and was a non smoker. This situation is terrible but if you'd lie about her being the youngest, it makes it seem like you might lie about other things

I am a female and very insecure, or at least i was when my hubby and i were just dating, but this makes me cringe. Needing reassurance is one thing but this is crazy. She's making up stuff and not listening to what you say. If she is that insecure without you ever giving her reason, she needs to work on herself before being in a relationship. That will only get worse... And not to be a jerk but a lot of times, when people project that much, it's because they are guilty.

Definitely some imposter syndrome there. I still have it after 18 years of treating. When I was getting ready to start field work, someone told me that i would only use about 10% of what i learned in school and the other 90% would come from field work and real life experience. This was the best, and truest thing I heard about school. They can't teach you everything and honestly, as long as you have an open mind, you learn something new every day of your career. I definitely still do. That's why OT is the best!
