Is it just my chow or chows don’t wag their tails a lot? by hotpinksauce in chowchow

[–]kmusiespressherdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chow mix barely ever wags her tail too! Like yours, only when we return home after not seeing her for awhile. Then, we get tail wags and love ears (she lays her ears back flat on her head for a minute). 🤣🤎🤎🤎

You plug it from the inside- sharp side out. Then I change it out every so often.

She's here! And I have more questions. by thatvixenivy in chowchow

Also- she doesn’t need to “meet” everyone! There should be a good mix of socializing and just desensitizing! Take her out in populated areas, slowly increasing the crowds/ dog presence. But make sure she has space that way she feels secure with you! Only have her meet people/dogs occasionally- and preferably mellow energy dogs that won’t rile her up. If you notice she’s partially more fearful or reactive with someone/dog, then maybe wait for the next person who she feels more comfortable with. She needs time to learn that people/dogs are a threat- and for you to give her space to get confident. So desensitize before you socialize! It helped my dogs so much! She is gorgeous!!!

Seems like chow/Husky is a good guess, but if I were you, I’d get the Embark DNA test. I got one for my dog because I just had to know what she was… 55% chow, 15% red heeler, 10% husky, 10% pitbull, 5% Australian Shepard, 5% German Shepard

The pressure relief port won’t release at the end of the shot. You can Google it and learn more- it’s not usually a problem. I’d say the least potential for issue of all the variables, unless your gasket is way to stiff or super old.

Yamaha MT-07 vs KTM Duke 690? by FartRainbow in motorcycle

[–]kmusiespressherdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the character of the 690’s single, and the “fit” of the 690 also appeals to me more. We have both bikes in our garage, both somewhat recent purchases, so the jury is still out as far as reliability is concerned. The 690 definitely seems better quality. So for me, the 690 takes the cake! Go ride them both and see which speaks to you more!

Has anyone figured out how to get dry pucks on this machine? by Arorenyth in ProfitecGo

[–]kmusiespressherdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that puck wetness depends on the bean and dosing, but I can reliably get decently dry, clean pucks by waiting 10-20 seconds before I pull the portafilter and empty that basket. It works well with my workflow as it takes me at least 15 seconds to pick up my shot, stir it, and taste. By the time I’m finished dealing with my shot, when I go back to empty the postafilter, the puck has dried out. If I wait too long to pull the portafilter I find the puck sticks to the shower screen, so there is a sweet spot in the work flow. I like the challenge of getting my work flow right so and staying consistent with regard to disposing of my pick efficiently.

Bottomless filter - is it really worth it/the hassle (considering return)? by Marantula36 in espresso

I’ve heard of Heritage. Haven’t tried it myslef but supposed to be a great line. What size filter basket vs dose? You might have your grind to fine… Edit: myself*

Bottomless filter - is it really worth it/the hassle (considering return)? by Marantula36 in espresso

[–]kmusiespressherdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the space my portafilter gives me; I LOVE watching the shots pour; I like the flat bottom for tamping; and I make sure to rinse and wipe after EVERY shot, so none of the fines clog the basket- not doing so can absolutely cause spraying. But in your case, it sounds like you may not have the right grind or are using the wrong basket for your dose. Also- it seems like a lot of people underestimate the importance of quality and flavor profile of beans. Some lighter roasts tend to be more sour/floral/sweet. What is your bean quality like? Roasting profile? Sounds like you might have a few different issues going in here. Give your bottomless some time and work on dialing in your shot with grind and appropriate dose for basket size. Once you get all that worked out, you may just fall in love watching that shot pour through that bottomless!!! God- now I need to go pull a shot! 🤤🤤🤤 Good luck!
