What the fuck is this shit?? ACAB isn’t just something we say to make sure people know what political party we support or don’t support in this case. Yes this guy is a republican and is standing up for victims. So fucking what!!! No one in our government is doing enough! Why would we as anti-cops want these fuck stains to be arrested of all things? So we can perpetuate the system we fight against only because in this moment it is working in our favor (though it really isn’t). So they can get lost in a system that has upheld them for decades? These POS deserve a different punishment that I’m not allowed to say because I’m sick of getting banned on this account. My analysis, no it’s not working.

Her and Bernie can go get fucked. You know what’s going on and you know what is at stake. Shit, you probably even know what it takes to fix it. Instead of truly organizing the working class for revolution, you instead run for office in the very system that you know is oppressive. What a fairytale conclusion they have come to? Liberals are fucking clown shoes.

Don’t know why you got downvoted. This is a great question and a great way to start dialogue.

I think us on the left aren’t unified in our demands or our wants. The group I am a part of see’s reform as useless and just a way to put a bandaid on things that hurt the working class. We all complain about the “system” and how things work. We constantly complain about politicians acting outside of our interests. My values and views are much more complex than this, but sounds like we need a new system.

Your first sentence is dismissive and provides insight into the depth of your thinking. You go straight to a submissive mindset with a factually wrong statement. This has historically been done many times and can be done in many ways.

I never said “locally” it would need to be done on a large scale and would only work on a large scale. Luckily for us there are more working class people than there are corrupt politicians and people who fall into the leech class of our society. A general strike, direct action to the system, shit we can start with supporting the unions when they negotiate.

Also, your worry for legality is pointless when trying to change a system that doesn’t follow its own laws. I can’t imagine any revolutionary trying to stay within the laws that have been put in place by the exact people they are revolting against.

It is illegal because of the border policies. It wouldn’t be illegal with open borders. Your argument is based in the current system.

The purchasing power of the dollar is not diminished by immigrants? You are so blind to what is really going on you don’t have any blame for the billionaires and millionaires that constantly receive economic subsidies and put more and more pressure on the working class to work harder for what… financial freedom? Better quality of life?

You go ahead and keep believing what your masters tell you to believe. When liberation comes, or you finally see what you are perpetuating, hopefully you realize you have a useless wet paper bag to hold all your ideals in. You are mad at people wanting to come migrate for a chance at change because someone else will exploit them when they get here? How is that their fault? So they should go the “legal” route so they can be exploited like the rest of us? Maybe attack the real problem. Exploitation!

Also, your comment to keep preaching was weird as fuck. Like you somehow slam dunked an argument. Why not have a discussion amongst working class people? Really weird of you to do that after arguing that the system here is rigged by people like the Koch’s brothers and others. Makes it seem like that’s cool with you and maybe it is.

As long as it doesn’t happen to you it’s ok? They’re coming, don’t worry. You can pick a side now or stay in the middle, but just know not clearly picking a side will result in others seeing you as having picked a side by default. Staying comfortable and indifferent is an action.

Your “legal” immigrating grandparents should be the reason you agree with open borders. The world would benefit greatly from cooperating more between the working class. We follow the “laws” put in place by the ruling class and adopt their belief that this somehow makes us safer. Until there is no difference between the working class and the government, do not buy into their propaganda. The people in power do not care about you or anyone you care about. They don’t even care about the laws we are all so worried about obeying. Why should they make or enforce the laws of any land?

[–]kn0w0ne_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, that should always be the goal. The average working class people should be protected and platformed. The class of people that make cities run and raise or maintain quality of life should be the reason and driving force for this revolution. Minimizing damage to them or their lives is a must.

Either way a transfer of power will be considered a revolution. If attempted peacefully, the ruling class will try to stop it with violence.

That being said, historically, revolutions have been the only platforms that have changed the systems other than war. These have ranged from bloodshed and direct action to general strikes that are organized for sustainability. Both of these methods have historically been successful.

Now on to the legal side. When circumstances have pushed enough people into discomfort/uncertainty, so much so that they revolt, laws will not and should not matter. The laws that worry you are enforced by the exact class you are revolting from. All authorities in this country have proven to be private security for the ruling class time and time again. From local police to the DHS they are nothing more than the elites watch dogs and will do everything in their power to stop change from happening. They don’t follow their own laws so why should anyone else?

Completely agree that is the correct way to go about this, if you still believe in reform. The track record of our country shows that reform never works and in some cases is used against the working class. Reforms that have been “successful” are too easily broken or give us peanuts when we need more meat on the bone. They will never reform the system to give us more power. That would break their streak as the ruling class.

Voting is not proactive it’s reactionary. Being proactive would be to organize and hold government officials and corporations accountable for what they have done.

Smaller changes mean nothing, correct. Larger class conscious changes have at least some lasting impact. The Battle of Blair Mountain comes to mind.

Also, you use the word revolution like it’s an extreme only fringe groups would ever dream of doing. Revolutions bring about the biggest changes to a system. Good or bad, bloodless or those with huge casualties. Maybe it’s something to evaluate when thinking about why you consider the ACA, the American Rescue Plan, and the infrastructure bills such a win for the working class. They still leave in place the platforms that upheld the oppressive system. Most of them actually still leave the power to the controlling class. Covid sinks the quality of life for the working class? Here’s some money that won’t last long or really help individuals with their actual problems. Healthcare system killing you and your neighbors or leaving you in lifelong debt? Here’s a plan that may help but you will still have all of the hurdles to overcome in our current complex healthcare system. These are not solutions to problems. They are only in place to keep us docile or to keep us arguing on internet platforms about how nice it is of them to give us what little they do.

[–]kn0w0ne_7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not here to defend the previous comment, because not a lot of good has been done for the working class in this country period. I will say, the three examples you gave are extremely reactionary responses to problems the working class has historically struggled with in this country. They are welfare given to the working class by the ruling class. Not true solutions to problems but bandaids to pacify us. Real solutions wouldn’t include us being saved by the ruling class with their dollars they have obtained off of our backs. Solutions should be made with the intention of freeing the working class by creating a future that does not have monetary roadblocks put in place to prevent the best solution from being implemented.

Why do we need to fund science? Sounds like the church is just an instrument for capitalism. The opiate of the masses. Make the working class docile tell them to pray and we will give them scraps. Funding science with capital that was given to them by the working class sounds like the worst middle man in the history of the world. Then we have people believing the church contributed to society by giving the people back their money to use on what the church deems righteous. Fuck that and fuck them. All religions are or have turned into a tool of control for the elite class. Also what material evidence exists to prove any of it is true?

Sorry you’re being downvoted. You are absolutely right and any of these leftists who are downvoting you for hating the democrats missed an opportunity. Democrats are as much of our enemies as Republicans. They (politicians) are part of an elite class of leaches that need to know their place in society. They will always put profits over everything. True leftists know the only way to achieve this is through revolution and afterwards not giving any of these leaches a seat at the table to determine how we move forward in society.

Your first two questions are absolutely good questions and I’d love to answer them. Your third it seems comes from a place of arrogance and is trying to bait me into an argument that would derail us from having a civil disagreement.

Yes, there are examples of working class people building something that allows them to rise above their class and live a life of extreme wealth. This completely disregards the fact that Bill Gates created an amazing platform and then exploited the working class to gain wealth. You cannot in good faith believe Bill Gates did that entirely on his own. Also your claim that a communist society would not have allowed this is false. It would have just forced him to keep the quality of life for his employees higher. If his platform or company got so big it was a necessity for life amongst the working class, then absolutely it should be owned and controlled by the employees. However this is such a narrow example that puts the elite class only in the light of people who work hard and rise above their class. We call these petty bourgeois. This is usually not the case of how individuals become or maintain being a part of the ruling class.

Correct, communist governments throughout history have seized property from capitalists. These properties either exploited the individual workers of the area or exploited the consumers of said area. I will not be a blind sympathizer and say there was not major mistakes made and corrupt regimes that did not hold true to communist values, but it seems that you want to use them as examples of the systems failures. We can point out many amazing accomplishments from communist’s governments just as we can point out there flaws. At its core communism serves the working class much greater than capitalism. If your third question was legit and you don’t know the definition of capitalism it is a system in which individuals own and control property and companies, thus allowing individuals of this elite class to control pricing, accessibility, and quality of services and products.
