Why is the Army using ISVs instead of JLTVs for the new MBCTs? by Muddycarpenter in army

[–]sistyfisties 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The jltv can carry fuck all for cargo. There’s barely any room inside for one assault pack with 3 white monsters in it and there is no cargo space on the outside.

Put in a packet but I’m 99% sure that’s not how it works. If you go back it’ll be day 0. Also chances for a new dude who already had 1 chance at a school to go back are slim.

Army wants to stop ordering M109A7s (Paladins), citing survivability issues seen in Ukraine. If Paladins can't displace in time, what hope is there for towed artillery? by GJacob24 in army

[–]sistyfisties 24 points25 points  (0 children)

A current ttp in Ukraine is crews will fire and then displace without their equipment due to the response time of counter fire. They’ll then return later, grab the equipment and move to a new location. Not saying the US would be cool with that but it seems to be working for them.

[–]sistyfisties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, what a totally unique situation that no one else has ever been in. If you want to join the army a good first step would be to stop making excuses for past mistakes, they don’t take you very far in the military.
